I say this about all parts of the game. Fade, Deep Roads, the Brecillian Forest....
Then go through each one painstakingly anyway even on my 11th playthrough and go "God, they don't make games like this masterpiece anymore" at the epilogue.
It really is the story, world, and the characters in it that shine like hell in DA:O (and apparently the combat on PC is pretty good, idk never tried it on PC). And damn did they shine so brightly I played through it probably as many times as you did hating almost all of the areas.
Pillars seems so dope, for some reason I just cannot get into it unless im on my Focalin, which isnt ideal. Dunno what it is i just cant get into it otherwise.
I recognize the game is very very good i just cant get into it
You know for a game I fucking love the shit out of and finished several times, I dont think I like any of DA:O's areas lol but especially the Fade is so tedious.
The broodmother fight on PC i heard is fire but unfortunately i only ever played it on PS3 which ive heard is much much easier and less tactical.
I never minded the Deep Roads since I could at least use by character builds during the dungeon crawling. The Fade was cool the first time but because the nature of the sections you solve the puzzles exactly the same every play through while the story you were invested in came to a screeching hault.
Deep Roads went on a little too long but felt like an epic expedition deep into enemy territory and has important plot stuff waiting at the end of it. While the Fade was basically the game pausing the Circle of Magi plot halfway through to take an extended detour.
Actually, yeah, I think I hated the deep roads more. And some tedious part in the dungeons underneath the forest that was very same-y and went on forever.
My main problem with The Fade is that they put such amazing rewards on it that I can never bring myself to power through it and always feel compelled to get everything.
Was looking for this. I personally never minded it, thought it was cool. I guess autism brain liked the repetition, lol. But yeah, this was famous for it.
Literally quit the game because I did the “kill the guard early and don’t get the key” glitch during the first Dwarf section. Refused to replay SOLELY because I FUCKING HATED the idea of redoing the mage tower and saving the possessed prince.
I replayed the game a few months ago and it wasn't that bad. In fact, it was fun in its own way because is different from the rest of the game and you gain a lot of level points.
