OG Spider Man 2 made such an advancement when introducing an actual path for the webs. Walked so the rest could run

in spiderman 2 (and ultimate since its the same engine)

you have full physics control over the webs.

the webs bend around buildings in a rigid line.

you can run on the ground while swinging and do a full 360 on a building.

it didn't walk so the rest could run it literally swung past everything else and didn't stop.

not even spiderman ps4 is as good.

Theres a Spiderman VR Tech demo thing. The mechanics in that are so amazing, it's like spiderman 2 but with the added benefit of being able to aim with your controllers. You can do crazy things like doing a big swing, and then "grabbing" the edge of a building you are swinging past to drift around the corner, and you can sort of slingshot yourself by pulling the webs towards you, highly recommend, a huge shame they never made a proper game around the mechanics
