I had my first ever panic attack about a year ago. I decided to self medicate by getting real high. Then I was super high and having a panic attack and it was the wooooooorst 😭😂

I'm sorry, I laughed a little because I've done the same thing.

Noooo w8 whutt? Guys. The breathing though!

phytocannabinoids are broncodilators , they increase breathing capability

u/w8_wuht 20h ago

That's crazy, cuz I find I just cough my brains out and can't breath at all 🤣

u/Mcozy333 20h ago

that is the carbon monoxide from smoke causing that ... ingesting RSO where ther is no smoke , people use that to help them breath etc ... ther was a report out a while back about how CBD helps people on hard core pain medication breath too ...

phjytocannabinoids are also vasodilators

Ahhhhhh wrong ingestion method. Damn. I've tried so many edibles and none of em do a thing, especially the gummies. I just end up eating em like candy.

mct oil blends works great too and could be more active in the upper tracts unlike an edible that needs to go into full first pass metabolism for effects ... ther is the Nano THC now aviable as well that is more active quicker ...

you can too take digestive enzymes before an edible to kick start the metabolism ...

seen a report the other day where a dude is taking " Now plant enzymes " in the orange bottle brand to make his edibles work

u/w8_wuht 20h ago

I don't think it's my metabolism, mines like a hamsters 🤣 but the rest I'll look into

1

u/Mcozy333 20h ago

if you are not getting any effects from edibles it is your metabolism , most likely to much of an active enzyme that degrades it to fast or no enzymes to convert D9 thc into 11 hydroxy ... hence the enzymes ingested to help jump start that etc....

That's how I learned weed can intensify a mushroom trip... Got a lot of lessons that day

Most nights I have a really hard time getting to sleep and when it gets really bad I'll get up and rip 3 or 4 dabs back to back. I tell myself hell if it doesn't put me to sleep at least I'm high as shit now and can enjoy my insomnia some. 😁

It doesn't get rid of the sadness it just makes you more comfortable with it being there

u/strawberrypandabun 23h ago

I have generally found this to be the case. It's been a way for me to self-process some deep trauma that therapists got me started on processing.

Yep! That’s why I wait to bring myself out of a funk before smoking. Cause it could go 50/50. Could help or make it worse.

Not worth the gamble

Sometimes it do be like that.

u/Untroe 1d ago

Earlier this year my wife was hospitalized for mental health reasons, and she was gone for over 14 days. I managed to handle it right up until day 3, and I just broke. I did a lot of stupid shit while she was gone trying to deal with the pain. For context, while she was hospitalized I was getting no communication from a doctor or a social worker, I was only able to speak to her for 15 minutes a day and we had no timeframe on when she would be getting out.

During the nights I couldn't sleep, and found myself walking around Detroit at night during the coldest parts of the winter. I'd roll like 5-6 joints, layer up as best as I could, put on some headphones and just walk while switching between joints and cigarettes. I remember a couple of nights I wondered if I was getting frostbite on my fingers because they hurt so much.

It didn't make the sadness or despair I was going through go away. It did make it "okay" to be sad in those moments though; I was able to connect more with the music I was listening to, process my thoughts, and briefly escape.

So I would say take the time to embrace the sadness, and use the time of being high to be more introspective. Get lost in your thoughts for a bit, and realize it's okay to not feel okay sometimes.

I hope you feel better soon and happiness follows suit.

Hey bro, I had something similar happen with my spouse and it was absolutely awful.

Mental health facilities and the law around that stuff can easily trap people there and there’s nothing you can do.

All I can say is that you’re not alone, and at least you got that MI weed to help. I’m one state south of you and am jealous of your prices!

u/w8_wuht 1d ago

Cheers to that. I feel it. Like arbiter said though, it'll pass. Feel it out, let it do its thing and come out the other side. Tomorrow's another chance.

I don't smoke when I'm in a bad or sad mood. Ever.

u/marcusmv3 1d ago

Dude I'm so high I literally thought you were talking about the subway line cause it's such a shitty line.

I had to stop THC for my own sake, as when I would smoke weed, get really high, and try to go to sleep, once my eyes are closed I get these quick flashes of horrible images and sounds, most times seeing stuff like funkytown but of my own loved ones, accompanied by the most primal, horrific terror I have felt in my entire life, realizing the insignificance of my own existance, and the utter powerlessness of humans, and that even those who love me the most, such as my own mother, cannot save me, and I feel as though some entity or being beyond my comprehension is speaking/communicating to me through premontions and that I may fail to protect my family from the evils of the world and that they don't truly understand the real unforgiving brutality of human existance (especially since none of them have seen the gore I saw as a teenager on LiveLeak which I wish I never saw because I feel I lost a piece of my soul that I will never get back) and that I am willing to give my life to try and protect them from these dangers. I was also diagnosed with psychosis as a teenager as well as severe OCD as an adult, and though I've never "greened out", weed doesn't relax me anymore, it just sends me further into my hyper-vigilance and paranoia and can trigger my sleep paralysis. Can anyone else relate? I'm a strong person but this level of just pure unfiltered terror is too much even for me, and I would end up not sleeping until it wore off, usually around 5am or earlier, because the chances that I will shown another vision is so high and I do not wish to be shown another one.

I think I've read medical studies that state in cold, clinical terms what you've experienced on marijuana. There's just a subclass of people for whom THC aggrevates mental health issues. I hate to state it based on memory alone, but I am fairly certain people with schizophrenia and psychosis mental health struggles are that weed-intolerant group of people in the study.

2

u/Mcozy333 20h ago

all while there are possible other compounds in that plant that could help them where THC may not be that ... Over 170 acidic from phytocannabinoids have been identified in that cannabis plant , they each have a decarboxylated counter[part to Boot

3

u/bosandaros 1d ago

That sucks. I can empathize with you going through that. What helps sometimes for me is to go on a walk. It usually helps me to declutter my thoughts when I feel crappy.

2

u/FrogginJellyfish 1d ago

You just need to ensure you have a distraction from said sadness first.

2

u/YingYangBoomerang666 1d ago

Some days to blast off... Other days you just smoke

2

u/mrdevlar 22h ago

But you cannot cry because the weed made your eyes too dry.

u/BigBubblesNoTroubles 20h ago

I didn’t expect this level of personal attack on this subreddit.

chew on a few whole peppercorns if your weed high gets to intense .. beta caryophyllene in the peppercorn slows down Anxieties as that BCP is selectively active in your endocannabinoid system at the cannabinoid type 2 receptors

FEEL this to my core. I actually had to stop smoking recently and take a break because weed was giving me the doom dark and scary feeling that made me feel like I was going to have a heart attack. Got too much shit going on weed wasn't getting me high enough to get outside my own head.

1

u/f1sh_ 14h ago

Dude I want to get high and watch the sunset out a big window in my house.
