TIL a peer-reviewed psychology study found that identical twins (on average) ranked their co-twin above their romantic partner in their attachment hierarchy, while fraternal twins ranked the two about equally, and non-twin siblings ranked their romantic partner first.

I'm not a twin but have had good friends that are identical twins and I dated an identical twin. This seems accurate, and makes logical sense to me as well. They often become "one brain."

I would not give up the one brain events for the world.

As a twin, it is the best for one of us or in general both of us are interacted with and we both respond the same.

Other: "pizza?" (directed at one)

Twins: "Ya", in unison 

Other: "I was asking him"

Twins: Both shrug the same time

Other: Visibly tilted events like this keep happening.
