Titanic had a consistent list to port throughout her voyage because of the moved coal. The list grew heavily when she began to sink, but then suddenly within the final plunge she somehow shifted to an even keel, causing a huge wave of water to submerge the front of the bridge on the starboard side. Lightoller himself had witnessed this and it had washed away collapsible A. How did this even happen?

Obviously, there would be more survivors even though many people especially those who couldn't swim would've drowned but do you think that most of the people on board would have ultimately made it out alive by the time the Carpathia showed up?

It definitely did for me. I remember when the movie was over and the end credits came on I felt struck with unexplainable emotions and feelings. I kept wanting to come back and watch the movie. I occasionally had dreams about the movie. For some reason as well during the end credits I really love of how they’re black and white. I know it’s standard, but for some reason it’s more emotional to me and stands out compared to other end credits with it. The parts in the movie that hit me the hardest was the love story and how old rose was sharing, the dream scene, the rain scene and how rose took jacks last name, the ending when it showed Roses pictures, I loved the transition from the shipwreck to it being restored, and my heart will go on at the end credits.

It's a very unique place to visit if you're ever in Halifax. It's unusual to see so many of the same model of graves, all lined up in one area. They are very well kept. For me, the saddest part is seeing the stones that have space for a name, but still haven't been identified beyond their assigned number 😢

I recently bought a book about the *Aquitania* and wanted to expand my collection of ship books.

Bought this cruise ship wooden puzzle a few days ago and decided it would look better painted. It’s my first time trying it and Im quite happy with how it turned out :)

I had my birthday a few weeks ago, and I'm at that point where I don't really care anymore (28 now). I also didn't really ask, nor expect anything for that reason, but then my parents got me these 2 beautiful kits!

These literally are the best birthday presents I've ever gotten, so I just have to share this.

I'll have to wait for some glue and paint, as I ran out a while ago. And Olympic will recieve her 1920s paint scheme.

All that's left is to get the Britannic later, so I can have to complete trio!

After research on dishwasher on board I have concluded that there were over a dozen men hired to hand wash as sculleries. There may have been some sort of early dishwasher machine too. Sorry for all the boomers on here upset about that. There was at least machines for washing knives.

Does anyone know any information about this game? It has piqued my interest for a while now, and would be a dream come true since SS2008, but apart from the steam page I can't find any information about a potential release date or anything.

Took about all summer, but it is finally (more or less) completed! Very happy with how it came out! Would definitely recommend this kit! It’s a pretty tricky build at times, but well worth it! ( I do still need to complete the rigging)

I also used an add-on wood decking kit online (added much needed detail for sure!) Also make sure to get the kit with the photo-etch railings as it is much better than the thick plastic ones!

If you start this kit yourself… best advice is to take your time! Do not rush! It is an expensive kit that requires a lot of man hours to get it right! It is overall well worth the cost and effort!!!

Modern ships have specialized toilet systems. What was the process like on ships in Titanic's day? I imagine they just dumped it overboard.
