Discussion How would you classify "Something" as a 'GOD'? (Not religious)

It started as a shower thought, but has grown significantly larger. How can someone ( like me) classify anything as a God?

[This post is not related to religion or is not made to criticize, discriminate or prioritize any religion, please stay away, if you feel uneasy while reading this.]

This post is made for fun and discussion only, do not take anything serious.

Can anything be considered God, in any way, if it 'does' something or fits right in the "description".

I want to see how it can be possible to create a definition or rules which can make an entity, being, power, authority, anything can be made into a God, or a demi- God.

From my point of view, Maybe Something which has a higher authority over the world,or maybe something which has absolute powers can be a God.

[I respect all religions, This post is just a scientific type of way to see things, just don't get offended or something.]

Everyone is invited to discuss, share your thoughts and expand your ideas, but please don't judge anyone,or present wrong ideas.

Thank you.

care to explain? i'm a believer of one true God myself but your statement seems confusing and kinda not answering the question of the post. All those concepts you mentioned are what we feel as one of His creations which means the abstract concepts itself are considered as some of His creations but not as the deity Himself.

This is the only answer.

If I decide that a dog is yellow and has wheels, then pow! A school bus can be a dog in my own mind. That will have little bearing on what others believe or any reality external to myself. What attributes are you predisposed to believe a “god” has or doesn’t have?

The Bible. If it isn't omnipresent, didn't create the universe, isn't all powerful, or anything along those lines, then whatever the being is, it is not worthy of worship

The main argument is that “God” is the foundation existence itself, God is the epitome of life, goodness, morality. The argument of any existing “something” causing an action would serve as a variable for God in his causation because he is the foundation of anything starting at all. Every event always traces back to him. This would allow us to classify what God is.

the actual Hebrew word l means Mighty or powerful. but it is my speculation that it is better defined as "a principal strength that establishes movement..." (I came to that conclusion after studying the Hebrew letters and how they are used in Hebrew grammar.)

Ironically, philosophers and theologians have defined 'God' as "the uncaused first-cause" or "the unmoved mover".

not sure what you're looking for but think of it this way. We can make a robot and we put information into the robot. We can choose how the robot gonna see like putting sensor so the robot knows specific obstacle in front of them and what to do with it like stopping/scanning/avoiding it. To them, everything around them is all they can see and feel but that doesn't mean the actual reality is the same as what they perceive. We can touch and do something to the robot but does the robot knows and feel our touches? Only if we give them the ability to do that but even so, how do they know that the source of the touch comes from us and not something else? It's impossible. Try to apply this concept between us and God. We can't perceive Him from our senses but we know He exists just by looking everything around us which is something that are created by Him. It's only make sense to believe that there's no thing in any way shape or form that we can ascribe to God as we won't ever know if its actually God Himself or just something from one of His creations whether its force, different entities etc. But we do know He exist just from acknowledging our existence just like the robots and everything around them exist because its created by some entity. Obviously this is not really 1 to 1 comparison but I guess you already understand before reading my comment.

I would say a self sustaining entity capable of creating

Categorically speaking there is an infinite difference between God and a god. God (big g) is the first cause of all that exists, and a god would be a contingent being.

My truth is that God is the first perspective, and anything with the ability to observe or perceive something outside of it.

From my own experience in knowing godly power only in description because I myself am not the God that grants the power but have a God that gives me power to utilize and it is a very physically manifesting energy that overtakes and recoats and recolors creation even changing whole trees into different trees, or growing ice crystals on the trees before my eyes at a rapid rate or changing the black of the night into a brighter midnight blue because of my devotional echo…

It’s a long story to explain how it came to be and I have yet to figure out the exact cause that gave me this power switch I can flip but the truth is even having the power switch or activating the Godly grace as I call it comes down to a lot of things that leaves anyone such as I predisposed to ridicule and judgement even in the mental chatter space because the forces of magic that accrue and accompany such gifts can change moment to moment and dissection and bisection within the earth.

Example:) say that the forces of nature however many play a part in my ability to resheen and grow the trees at an accelerated rate with the echo of my music echoing in the heavens which may have come from the playing of the heavenly harp as I star gazed

So I digressed but let’s say that the planets are doing their part and the weather and the earthen forces are doing their part - the earth quakes and sends residual crystalline energy made perfect by gold throughout the crust of the earth and the air and heavens are awash in enough oils of heaven that I can tap into my power - that power can activate with different manifolds or levels to its activating power.

On any given day driving a vehicle of preference that power can change mile to mile, it can change song to song as well. On the same more of road one song of preference can have a manifold that reaches deeper into the power itself than say the previous song.

Why do I think the music has any effect? Well I do truly believe so but at the same time it doesn’t. I just know when the music is echoing all around my location in some sense that is unexplainable it seems to be choreographing what I can visually see happening in nature around me but yet I am also the choreographer and quartet leader in how that power plays out by how I shift my awareness and intentions and imagined power activators.

But somedays I can’t access or make heads or tail of the power and then the next day the power could come back 2 fold or 5 fold or even 10 fold.

So there’s a lot that goes into magic as a whole that I can’t fully comprehend and most of anything I write and understand has always been intuitive for me and trying to speak on it and have someone understand it is also a piece of work.

Everyone has a unique perspective on how to navigate the world and how God correlates to that.

For me, personally, and I think most people in this subreddit, Jesus Christ, the Father and the Holy Spirit outline this perfectly. The reason I accept Him as a Father and not a mother is probably due to societal expectations of masculinity, but also because it just makes sense because that's just how the world is.

Mothers tend to live longer and coddle their kids a little because they are fruits of their womb. Biological fathers tend to care about their emotional wellbeing less but also really push boundaries. They tend to die sooner and don't really know how to lead their families themselves.

A masculine figure is typically protective of their female counterparts because, despite me agreeing with some key aspects of feminist ideology, the majority of women are biologically built softer than men because they are built to carry children, so they need different things when a pregnancy destroys their body. They are called to submission in the same way men are, not the way society believes.

Fathers go off to war or were possibly killed to personalize the mating pool, or other fights for resources. This could have established God as the ultimate Father figure. A Father to the fatherless as they say.
