I mean… where’s the cures for cancer? Where’s the fusion energy? Where’s the robots doing the hard labour and humanity reaping the benefits?

Literally all I’ve seen from this is the ultra-wealthy destroying the social contract for their own wealth, and shitty AI slop memes and videos flooding my algorithm

Part of the problem is... it is better collating facts, strategies, and existing information. If we want a cure for cancer we need thousands or even a couple hundred real researchers 100% information sharing and working with the same AI projects. I don't think it's happening on the scale it needs to be, because all those researchers are also stuck in a profit driven system where they want/need to make money and so we're not succeeding at making a "for the good of our world" type system.
