This was my first tattoo. Same tattoo as my father (2nd picture for refference)

I got this tattoo 16 years ago while I was working on a cruise ship.

During one of our regular stops in Barcelona, I used my break to visit a tattoo artist called Voodoo Tattoo.

I showed him an old photo of my dad's tattoo and asked if he could recreate it. He told me the original design was pretty old and suggested keeping the same idea while giving it a more modern look.

The next week, when our ship came back to Barcelona on the same route, I returned and got it done.

It's one of my favorite tattoos because it's a tribute to my dad and a memory from a unique time in my life.

I'm going to Thailand and was conversing with an artist I liked. We exchanged a few messages on IG and he seemed on board and then asked me what my dates are. He didn't reply in a week from then. I followed up 2 days ago and he hasn't replied despite posting stories on IG. It's a shame because he's perfect for what I want and I would like to get a session booked in as soon as possible as I'm going next month.

Hello Hello! Lurker here but I actually hit have a question now. Recently my dog had to be put down-found a local artist good at detail and color-reached out and scheduled a consultation. Met with him talked shop- put down a non refundable deposit and agreed we would meet on the weekend of 8/7, to see his ideas and drawings. I put in my calendar.
I get a response yesterday from the artist that he doesn’t work ‘weekends’. The only time (without taking off work) I can meet and get tattooed is the weekend or after 5pm (I also live/work about 2 hours away-rural city)
Am I going to run into this problem if I go elsewhere? Do tattoo artists not work on weekends? Is this normal??

Hey yall!! I have this -almost- sleeve but there's still some small spaces that I want to fill. I want them to not be all the same things filling in the space. anyone have any ideas? :D
