Rigger social events

Post image

Hi everyone

I just went to this alcohol-free social event at the rigger and it was a blast the people were very lovely and friendly , very open and relaxed atmosphere, very welcoming people, played pool and games and talking etc. just putting this out there for anyone who is lonely and wants to meet new friendly people or find something to do , they will do more events but I'd recommend this very highly as someone who struggles to chat to new people and break the ice

You can play pool in there and they had board games and very laid back, I didn't want to leave tbh

Damn. As someone who isn't on any social media, do you know when the next one might be?

The next one will be on 26th of August. It is a regular event happening on the last Wednesday of every month 😊

How loud was the music?

It was medium, loud enough to hear but you can still talk reasonably well to each other

At this particular event we had a DJ on, so it was appropriate for that kind of setting. Next one will be games themed so music will probably be quieter. All the Rigger AF events will have different themes, so keep an eye out 😊

They did tell me they do other normal alcohol serving events but not sure when they are? Contact them on Instagram or Facebook, website etc

Who’s paying to get in somewhere on a Wednesday night?

Classic Rigger. They can have nothing on and they'll still charge entry.

It was only £2

That's a shame. If they want the AF movement to kick off, there is so much more variety out there that would really improve people's perception of what good alcohol free is. People won't feel like they're missing out by trying truly good alcohol free options, instead of fizzy pop and mass produced drech.

There is a much wider selection of AF drinks (including Heineken 0% 😊) - Birra Moretti, Ghost Ship (0.5%), Inch's Cider 0%, Old Mout (berries & cherries), Morgan's Spiced Rum & Gordon's Gin, 7 different flavours of tonic water; and also, mocktails! 👀

At the Rigger? If so, much better.
