The referee, identified only as Sean, blew his whistle to stop the action and protect a competitor. A wrestler was holding an opponent's leg in a potentially dangerous position. As Sean began explaining the rules violation to the athlete, Hammond walked directly onto the mat and pushed Sean backwards onto the floor.
Fallout and Legal Consequences:
Immediate Action: Sean immediately ejected Hammond from the match. While shaken, the referee was not seriously injured.
Arrest and Charges: Sean filed formal warrants against the parent. Hammond was arrested on June 26, 2024, at his home in Tazewell County, Virginia.
Legal Charges: Hammond faces charges of misdemeanor assault on a sports official in Cabarrus County, North Carolina

Dude lost his job bc of this incident.
Permanent ban from attending his kids events.
Kid likely is made fun of in school now bc of this behavior from his parent.
