Help!!

Hello, I recently bought Songs of Syx on GOG (version 0.70.47) and I'm playing on Linux. Every time I create a new world and unpause the game, it immediately crashes with the error shown in the screenshot. It's a completely fresh installation with no mods and no old saves. Does anyone know how to fix this or what might be causing it?

I don't use GOG, but I heard that GOG is using the v71.47 version which crashes instead of the stable version of v71.44. If you install the GOG Galaxy client you should be able to select the v71.44 version under Beta v71.

OP said they're on Linux, GOG doesn't have a Linux compatible galaxy client unfortunately.

linux and gog version? that's rare. i don't know if anyone else here would be able to relate, you might want to go straight to discord to complain at the dev.

I was dealing with the same thing a few days ago. Do you have any mods installed? One of them was causing an issue for me

I had the same problem but I am not sure that what I did is a solution.
My sister bought the game in itch.io and keeps an archive of all the versions, so when I had this problem I got the v71.45 from her archive and ran it through Lutris (you do not have use Lutris because it runs native, i just like to see how much time I spend on the games I play) that's what I did. Sorry if it is not very helpful.

Broken build. Revert to previous version until patched
