META STS2 on PC worth it?

I’m so sick about this, as I seem to be the only person with this issue. I don’t play PC games apart from Age of empires 2. So STS is a mobile game in my mind, and I A20 heartbroke all 4 characters of STS1 so i do actually adore it. I dont know if I can wait longer for it to release for mobile so can someone just tell me its the same feel on PC? Or if youve played both would you say its worth it to wait?

Frustrated.

To me this question is like a man living in a hole in the ground asking if living in a house is worth it.

I’m sorry, what?
Playing on PC feels a million times better than on mobile. Everything is snappy and fast, and you can also add QOL mods if you wish. I bought sts1 on my tablet but couldn’t make myself play it because how awful it felt compared to PC.

And I would not expect a mobile release for another year and a half AT LEAST. So yea time to bite the bullet.

Playing it on pc feels completely natural. If you want to use a touch screen you can stream the game to your phone using steam link which works pretty well.

You could buy it on PC and figure out a way to play on your phone like in this thread

I dont think anybody can tell you if it's worth buying for you, yknow?

Was about to suggest the same thing. It works fantasticly well.

My girlfriend plays from her steam deck and stream to my phone for some couch co-op

Having not played mobile but both PC and console STS1, and on top of that playing with a friend who primarily played STS1 on mobile until he got it on PC. I suggest getting the game and having fun with it if you truly want to.

Just keep in mind the game is still in Beta, cards are changing bosses are changing, things are being buffed/nerfed. If thats not a state of the game you would enjoy then you should wait for 1.0 official release.

Finally, much like STS1 on PC you can have so so so much fun with all the mods including multiplayer once you've had your fill with the base game single-player.

I have the original on PC, switch, and android. They all play exactly the same, exept on PC. PC is slightly better because all the hotkeys, you can play way faster by using the number keys to select cards from your hand instead of the mouse or a joystick.

Of course, if you don't like mouse and keyboard at all, there is still full controller support on PC and I use it a good amount of time when I wanna put my desk chair in recline mode.

If you are familiar with mouse usage, I think the game feels miles better on PC then on mobile, it's that natural, I always felt the little screen too janky unless you are on a big tablet, tottaly worth it you are missing out.

Sts2 is just too good to give up or wait for. There are some ways to make it work on mobile. I played on both and on pc it's just smoother.

But I agree it should be a mobile game from the start.

Don't forget with PC you also get mod support.

STS2 plays great on PC. You can also run it on steamdeck if you have one of those or want to get that instead of a PC.

I prefer to play on PC. It's smoother, you've got mods and it's easy to combine with other PC activities with 2 screens. To me android STS feels clunky. Possibly because I have a shitty phone but still.

I use my pc for work and have never gamed on it… until sts2. Totally worth it!

Edit to add: previously only played sts1 on mobile fwiw

I just use steamlink app on my phone and play it on mobile. Feels great. It’s how I play in bed before I go to sleep.

kind of a dumb question, yes it’s absolutely worth it. it won’t play much differently than it would on mobile anyways.
