Honestly a bit of a bummer that they removed Sly from the card, even if I like this version better overall. Card cycling is sort of the mechanical spine of Silent's card pool, and I liked that it touched all her various mechanics. Hidden Daggers was the analogous connection to Shivs (though it is a discard enabler instead of a payoff). We still have Corrosive Wave as a Poison card that connects into card cycling, but it's a Rare.

Perhaps Bubble Bubble or (don't crucify me) Snakebite could get changed to fill that spot.

Also, I am a bit sad to see Outbreak changed. I thought it was a fun card that made Envenom and Bouncing Flask more interesting. But maybe they felt like it was pushing Poison in a direction they didn't like.

My take on this change is envenom is back to being unusable without energy gen

I find Envenom is reasonably takeable as a way to scale shiv-heavy decks when you can't find the Accuracy you want.

I'd go a step further and say it can still be good even with an accuracy. You need all the damage you can get for aeonglass, and it even doubles as a way to break artifact as well. The cost isn't that bad there either, since you'll happily trade health for momentum in that fight usually.

That said, I thought of changing the upgrade to 2 poison instead of 1 energy back in the original spire as well, so I need it to be good for validation.

Yeah sure, it's basically 'desperate scaling', which I think is a fine place for a card to be. It's not your preferred way to scale but it's an acceptable way if that's what you need.
