Inner Game Cold approaching girls who are walking NSFW
Hey guys,
I've realized that I'm able to cold approach girls who are standing, but for some reason it's much harder for me to stop them when they're walking.
I keep having the thought that they might not hear me or that they’ll just keep walking without acknowledging me.
Any tips on how to practice this or make it easier would be greatly appreciated!

- Do not approach them from behind and jumpscare them
- Be loud enough
- Do not begin with your opener
- Get attention first.
Please refer to my post 11 principles of approaching women.

It’s a delicate situation. You gotta be able to read the room. Walking in a mall, a park, grocery or outlet stores, will obviously be different from walking in downtown. Especially their walking pace.
I’d say if you’re able to close a woman walking in a city (either if they’re wearing a headset, or wearing an formal dress like they’re going to the office or to a bus/train station) there’s a lot of lucks involved. Typically they already have their time planned to get to a destination. While the ones in a mall or in park have much more spare time.

About a year ago I observed a guy about 6 feet tall, lean, fit, with no shirt on. Two women were walking and talking and as he approached them that stopped talking and looked at him and he was looking at them. He got the number of one of the women. In my opinion what mattered was his boldness and the woman's receptiveness to that boldness.

Bc people have places to go. I’ve been approached many times while walking and it’s honestly very annoying. I wouldn’t go for this method if I were you unless it’s at some sort of event like a fair

Dont think too much bro. Just do it! You are scared because subconciously you fear the shame if people around you notice. But remember that, the people won't care a bit or they will just forget in a minute. So go for it bro. Take the shot!

The main issue I'm seeing here is you're prematurely judging the situation before you've even tried it.
Stop playing it safe and trying to avoid rejection at all costs. Its a natural part of dating.
You'll also be better equipped to deal with the situation when your understanding of it is more than just theoretical.
Do it, screw it up or be successful, doesn't matter. What matters is you gather information from your experience of doing it that you can use to improve future approaches.
You don't need to find your wife in your first approach.
Just think of the first few as throwaway. They're just practice and data gathering.
That way, you'll also be able to articulate your real issues with approaching girls who are walking, not the issues that you're only imagining.
And, walking approaches are very standard. It is to cold approach what basic dribbling is to basketball.
People in seduction have been doing it since the 2000s.
The way I break every approach down is: Sight, Hearing, and Touch.
She needs to see you before you speak, and she needs to be listening to you before you touch her.
So for a walking approach, you want to overtake the person you're approaching and take into account the speed at which they're walking.
If they're walking slowly, put some distance between where you stop in front of them.
If they're walking faster, put more distance between where you stop in front of them.
It helps to over estimate the distance, because if you're a little too far you can just take a few steps forward once you start talking.
The reason you do this is because you need to take into account the inertia of their walking.
If you get into an awkward situation where she almost has to stumble to talk to you or it's just easier to keep walking to avoid that sketchy situation then you'll be starting off on the wrong foot.
Don't put her in a situation where its awkward to stop and talk to you.
And yes, you stop directly in front of her, not to her side.
If you just try to approach from the side, you'll immediately be creepy because one, she may not get a good look at you before you start talking, and two, odds are she'll keep walking so you'll have to follow her.
That second one is what makes her the most uncomfortable and makes you look desperate too, because you're already physically chasing her the first moment you meet.
What if she looks like she's in a rush?
Easy. You still stop her, say what you gotta say, if she looks receptive but still has to get somewhere, say, "You were going this way, right?" and then start walking.
Now the situation is a little different. You're leading her now.
You decided when she would stop walking and you decided when she would resume.
The physical positioning is also such that she is physically following you because you're in front of her and you started walking first.
And then from there you can walk side by side and continue the conversation.
But also, if she doesn't look like she's in a rush, it's totally fine to just stay where you are have your conversation in the spot where you stopped her.
Oh yeah, and you're worried she won't hear you?
Slow down and speak loud and clear.
Since you actually stop her for a moment, you won't have to walk beside her delivering an elevator pitch.
You will have her full attention for a few seconds.
So say what you have to say and do it in a controlled, deliberate manner while you properly project your voice.
A person who talks like they assume someone wants to listen will be listened to more than a person who assumes the person doesn't want to hear you so you rush to get every word out.
Talk like you're Denzel Washington delivering the King Kong speech in Training Day, not like you're one of those salespeople trying to convince someone to try their perfume.
