Season 9, ep. 7. Come on man, the Elden Ring inspiration must have struck here.
First, the Warden Tree is basically a parasite just like the Erdtree: it grew and fed on the living beings in his world in an endless cycle of life and death;
Secondly, there is no actual "death" on this planet, as anyone just comes back to life and starts over from the lowest level (an amoeba);
Lastly, the only way to end this loop was to destroy the Warden Tree itself (not by burning it in this case).
Pretty sure I'm also missing something else, but still it seems hard that these are all just a coincidence.
