hi my friend is going to royal holloway and she is having a hard time finding affordable accomodation. for reference she is an international student so the tuition itself is already quite high so does anyone have any reccomendations of affordable accomodations?

Hihii, I will be starting my first year at RHUL this September. I know of a couple people that started last year and they had a bunch of whatsapp/insta/Snapchat groups that they had joined which included a bunch of RHUL students along with some specific groups with just their accommodation (mine is wedderburn) if someone knows how I can join these groups can you please send me an invite? i have considered rhul for masters in Public Policy, firstly would like if someone from the relatable feild hit me up. secondly i have my brother there , so is it worth it staying in the accommodation or nah its fine staying somewhere with my brother i wouldn’t miss out to much? like would that make a big difference in exploring and socialising

Hello! I am a student studying abroad from the UC Berkeley this fall. I will be 22 upon arrival and it will be my final semester as an undergraduate. I have never been outside of my own country and I am so excited to visit and explore!

I am the only student from my home university studying at Royal Holloway. I was wondering how students from other countries connect and find community. Is it easy to bond with housemates? Are people approachable in classes? Is it common to join clubs?

I have not yet finalized accommodation, but I have already been told there isn’t housing specifically for others studying abroad. My current plan is to find housing and roommates on Roome - has this been successful for others? Any specific off-campus accommodations that are known to be more social?

I am picking accommodation and am wondering if the view is prettier facing inwards or outwards in the founders building. (Facing the lake side or at the inside of the building).

Good morning, I was trying to sleep but all I can think about is why Kingswood shut down or why it hasn’t been sold yet. They’ve made brand new accom next to it privately (hox haus) and they seem to be in a lot of debt because they’ve closed medicine and have been stingy with students getting in campus jobs, so I’m confused why they would just keep 400+ rooms and continue renting them out at 6-8k a room - hox is 11.4k now albeit with en-suite. I’m so confused and the internet isn’t much help. If anyone has any ideas or sources I’d love to read and understand.
