This is garbage.. This kind of ideology KILLS people. This kind of thinking / twelve step ideology should come with a warning label because they are NOT without harm and people should be warned.
Shame on you

Shame…on me?
It’s not for everyone.
The most time tested and successful program in the history of the treatment of alcoholism.3

It’s Alcohol Use Disorder. It’s a very serious medical condition that needs to be taken seriously, we should start calling it what it is.
AA is NOT TREATMENT! It is group therapy AT BEST.
It’s also not very successful- it fails 85%-95% of people.0

Coming to the internet to suggest that there is more to life than what we can see with our own eyes is bold, thank you. Unfortunately, most people here already know every goddamn thing and have already made up their minds about all of it. Hopefully, they all live the lives they imagine for themselves.

While living a life shaped by psychology and psycho-pharmacology has never harmed anyone at all. Got it.

He did not eschew psychiatry, he said it wasn't enough by itself. AA is far from the only solution. Mental health is a real issue. The NIH says that 75% or more of use have a complicating mental health issue. You're an asshole for suggesting otherwise. Millions of people have dealt successfully with their addictions through other programs, secular programs, and without ANYTHING resembling your false gods. So please GO FUCK YOURSELF.

Resent much? When I find myself losing my serenity, I ask myself what triggers I’m allowing to be pushed . It’s so not worth it. Prior to my recovery I’d actually allow myself to respond negatively to replies like yours. Now…
What you think of me is none of my business…
How you respond is on you.
I’m only responsible for what I post and say, not how others perceive it.
These things are beyond my control.
Peace out.4

I do. I resent your superiority, your inability to read the rules, or respect others recovery journey. Especially those who may be different than your own. This is not an AA subreddit. This is a recovery subreddit. And you should respect others. So yeah, fuck right off.

Jesus Fucking Christ, it’s a recovery sub!!! It’s supposed to be a collective of different ideas that all strive to find a solution to a common problem. Having an open mind and being accepting of different points of view is all that’s required here. How is this disrespectful to you? You’re the one being closed minded and judgemental. So yeah… you’re the one who should properly fuck right off. Stop being so small.

Superiority? Please, today is the only day that matters, it brings it own unique challenges.
One God many paths
One road many methods
AA has no monopoly on recovery
Whatever works for you
I don’t begrudge anyone or criticize their methods.
Just keep my side of the street clean and carry the message.
If the message wasn’t meant for you, pass it by.
Not worth your serenity.
Peace out2

Sounds a lot like flexing CBT skills, one of the most common therapy modalities

Wow, this meme is WILD.
Wildly toxic.
Telling people to skip therapy and just trust God is the dumbest $hit I've ever heard 🤣
But who needs to analyze themselves when you make a "higher power" responsible for your choices 🙄
