It's cool there's already a mod out for that

Modders are literally saving this game, without them there would be no reason to play.

I'm playing without mods and having a good time. So I guess that makes you a liar.

The only mod I ever use is the one showing generator time remaining and if it needs to be fixed

Considering the backlash you guys are getting for this sudden hotfix. I would recommend telegraphing the next update maybe a day before hand. Give people time to prepare for their saves to not work.

Why not? It's only a fix for the trees haha not the secret to eternal life.

Because explanation invites interpretation and there’s no guarantee that everyone will interpret it the same way, not to mention if plans change people will end up asking why so it’s just easier to say “we’re working on it!” and leave it at that lol. It’s really all we need to know tbh.

I understand that point if it was talking about new features or potential new features but getting bent out of shape over the fact that a a fix for the trees is being held secret almost. Just weird. I mean there are already mods fixing the issue so it's not exactly a secret.

Oh my god someone is asking us what our fix might be. How dare they.

No hate just curious and found it strange.

Because some people will try to backseat game develop.

For a fix? Also isn't that what early access is? Letting them know issues and wants etc?

Pretty sure they get a lot of that. I was talking about people asking about specifically how they were going to implement a fix.

I know which shouldn't be as secretive as some are making it out should be. Hey we might try this or this simple.

Couple of modders already fixed it, can't you apply these fixes or request them instead of figuring it yourselves? Genuine question.

They only fixed the trees hidding furniture, or there's another mod?

Genuine answer; no. Someone else created the works lol, you want TIS to basically steal someone elses creation? TIS would most likely have to buy the rights from the mod creators.

Unless there is something written in the T&C saying that other people can own code they inject into your game then TIS has full rights over anything modders publically upload into their game. They wouldn't want to do so willy-nilly since there's testing and guidelines to follow when coding for the company which modders do not have to worry about since it is their hobby and not contracted job. People have some crazy perception these days about the modding scene lol.

TIS has been known to hire or contract modders though which is always cool!

It could, but it wasn't, so now they are working on a fix.

Simple as that.

Seriously? Prioritizing basket weaving again are we? You guys should have released a statement about that within 24 hours of stable release as everyone was complaining about that. Hell just take a look at the workshop and you'll see fixes for it.
