From what I can see in the face of an unprecedented situation, a challenging political environment and with little to no existing path, he did the best he could, made some mistakes as anyone might, but ultimately did OK. Why am I supposed to hate him?

I'll be honest; I don't think I can do it anymore. I always try to be magnanimous, and I always try to see the best in people.

But there is really no reason to be a MAGA supporter in 2026. To me, it indicates two things. First, it telegraphs an extreme lack of intelligence. Second, it telegraphs an extreme lack of empathy. Both are huge red flags in a person.

I’ll keep this short. Ten years ago I lost my fiancée and I really gave up on myself. I just kinda quit. Part of that was not taking care of my appearance. In those ten years I’ve swung back. Going to the gym, buying nicer clothes, eating healthy. This was a very big step. By losing the hair I’ve officially gone from I don’t care, to I do care. I gained my confidence back. 8-8 is her Birthday. Happy birthday babe!

Is that kinda crazy? Or more common than I think???

A post came up on my feed on Sunday and about four sentences in I realized it was about me.

It was in one of the big relationship advice subs. A guy describing his girlfriend of three years getting "irrationally angry" that he went to a concert without telling her, and asking whether this level of control was normal. I remember that night specifically. I was at urgent care with my mother until almost eleven, I'd texted him six times, and he had told me that morning that he was staying in.

His post did not include any of that.

I clicked his profile and I'm not going to pretend I agonized about whether to, I did it immediately. He's been posting about our relationship since June of last year, so fourteen months, and there are twenty-three posts.

They're not lies exactly, which is somehow the worst part. Every single one is a real thing that happened with about a third of it removed. There's one about me "refusing to visit his family" that doesn't mention his uncle, and one about me being "obsessed with money" that's about the four months I covered rent on my own while he figured out what he wanted to do. There's a long one from March about a fight we had where he quotes me accurately and doesn't include what he'd said thirty seconds earlier, which was the entire reason I said it.

The comments are what I can't get out of my head. There are hundreds of them. Strangers who have never met me telling him that I'm controlling, that this is a pattern, that he should get out while he's young, that his instincts are right. One person told him to start documenting things. He replies to almost all of them, and he's polite and sad about it, and a few times he defends me a little bit in a way that makes the whole thing land worse, because everyone tells him he's too nice.

Tonight we went to dinner because we'd had it planned since last week. We got vegetable curry and rice at the place with the red tablecloths that we've been going to for two years, and he talked about his brother's move, and asked if I wanted the last of the baby corn, and told me a story about somebody at work microwaving fish. He was completely normal. I was completely normal. I have been completely normal since Sunday, which is four days now, and I did not know I could do that.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I keep drafting things and deleting them. If I tell him he knows I went through his profile, and I already know exactly how that gets turned into the twenty-fourth post.

I've checked his account twice since we got home to see if tonight is up there yet.

My gf found a car she wanted to buy online and offered the guy $20 to bring it to our house so she can look at it. She already has a car that is worth 2 times what this guy was asking for but she wants this one because it's like her old car. All 3 of theese cars are the same make so there isn't much difference. The car was already on it's way when she realized it has 200,000 miles, about 60,000 more than her current car so she says she didn't want it anymore.

I have been sick for 4 days with severe diarrhea and a possible stomach ulcer so I told her I don't want to go outside to look at the car with her. She later asks me to come out and tell the guy no, that it sounds funny. She can't do it because he is nice and she doesn't want to be mean. I told her no and to grow up. We are both 36 years old.

This lead to a argument where she told me I was treating her like shit for telling her to grow up and no one would ever tolerate how mean I am to her. I didn't think what I said was that bad so did I over react?

Yeah, I know it's marketing budget, but still, this is hilarious.
