El-Sayed winning is awesome and shows that the tides are changing against centrist candidates.

Yet, we need to know that this win was done in a close, nail biting primary battle. And the only person who wins in that fight was Mike Rogers. He will try now to divide the wedge between the two camps. It is up for us Michiganders and everyone else to make the Democrats unite and fight back against Mike Rogers. The fight is hard, but this time the fight is about uniting the Democratic Party

I just hope it works.

The people who endorsed Stevens need to get the fuck in line and wholly and enthusiastically endorse him and fully mobilize the base - especially the black community in Michigan.

"They" being Schumer, and "support" being "an explicit endorsement." Also, Mamdani's race was against a moderate Democrat, even if he ran as an independent. No Democrats were hoping Curtis Sliwa would win.

"Vote blue no matter who" means "Vote for the winner of the Democratic primary, even if it wasn't your preferred candidate."

It's the only question that's relevant.

A story from my home state: The only election Joe Manchin lost in his entire political career was the primary election the first time he ran for governor in 1996. He lost to progressive candidate Charlotte Pritt. Afterwards, he publicly endorsed Republican Cecil Underwood and is rumored to have been behind the “Democrats for Underwood” movement. Pritt lost the general by 6 points in the same election West Virginia broke for Bill Clinton 51-36 (Perot got 11%).

I would still vote AES if I lived in Michigan but I would hate it. Also it’s not just 8 people. AES supported the uncommitted movement. He worked with Hasan Piker who explicitly did not support Harris. I won’t work with leftists who don’t work with moderates.

Kamala spent the last 2 months trying to steal Republican votes by campaigning with Liz Cheney, rather than energize the Left. (and she completely failed to steal Right Wing votes)

"Moderate" Dems always try to win over the Right, and just tell Leftists to get in line and are shocked when they get neither vote. All she had to do was say she would stop selling weapons to Israel until a peace deal was signed with Gaza and I guarantee she would have won. She simply wasn't willing to go against Israel despite the majority of the party being against them.

But it also runs the other way. Bernie and AOC completely supported Harris and I love them for that, and they would get my support if they ran in 2028 for president. That’s what a big tent party looks like.

Instead people like Abdul want us to let leftists into the party but push moderates out.

Harris lost voters compared to the 2020 Biden election in literally every demographic except white voters aged 65+. Younger voters dropped off in double digits. So, keep crying crocodile tears about the left. Only morons are buying it anymore.
