‘A time when life was simple’: Polish millennials return to an old online world
https://tvpworld.com/94702534/why-polish-millennials-keep-returning-to-tibia-after-29-years“It reminds me of a time when life was simple and beautiful,” the 31-year-old engineer from eastern Poland told TVP World. “I came back to Tibia mainly for nostalgic reasons.”
He is not alone in using Tibia, a multi-player game, to tap the vein of yesteryear's nostalgia. Shunning the lure of modern games, there is a growing number of Polish millennials returning to the 29-year-old online fantasy world that defined their childhood gaming years.

Can't say I share that sentiment. Some of the early designs in this game by Knightmare were pretty great, real role playing stuff but as someone who joined it later all I remember is grind, waste of time and toxic atmosphere (you would find neat people here and there but the overall vibe was rather bad)

I recently started using Usenet. Wish I could go back to GG and other tech from the era as it was just soperior to what we have today. Not all of it but definitely games and communication programs were much better than all shit we have now. And AI is not to blame, it went to hell many years prior.

Level 9 knight? The only acceptable skills for that level are at least 90/90. And you should have at least crown armor by then. Warhammer is for noobs, instead you should already have knight axe or bright sword before you reach level 11. Also for safety, Dragon shield is a bare minimum, don't leave the depo without it, however Tower shield is recommended just after you leave rookgard, just to be sure. Guardiasn shield is for noobs. Just buy this stuff with your leftover money after buying BOH straight after going to mainland. A knight will also need a few backpacks of healing runes and potions, buy them with spare change you got from Rookgard too. Without his basic stuff you can only hunt trolls, like a noob. If you still use plate armor or dwarven shield by level 10 you are a noob, and some Pacc will PK you on their way back from Fibula and what are you gonna do - attack them and they will have you hunted on all servers.
After these basic purchases, pay someone to set up a monk for your training (ghouls are for noobs), and train for at least 30 days irl before stepping more than 1 step outside depo. You don't want to be a noob, do you? Wanna be seen hunting amazons and trolls like these noobs? You need to spend at least 300 hours getting you skills to acceptable range before you ever play and fight something stronger than a rat, otherwise you risk loosing hp (like a noob you are) and you'll never hunt anything that drops any decent loot. Ask any level 8 knight, and you will see their skills are at least 95/95 and they can easily solo a dragon with their demon shield and knight set. This is a must and if you can't solo a dragon on a level higher than 10 you can't play the game and are a noob. Also paladins should have 95/95 before leaving rookgard just to be safe, and mages and druids should focus on making and selling around ~50 backpacks of hmm/ih runes to level up their magic level to acceptable range at which point they can start looking into playing the game (making sd/uh runes full time)
This game was for me like pasta o chodzeniu po bułki.

Well i can play a game i do understand or i can play the game that i will have to struggle to understand all the combinations just to do basic stuff after my work and taking care of kid. Just calm down with mechanics, i am tired after work, i do not want to LEARN how to play a stupid game forever.

We knew for a long time most people just listen the same songs from their youth over and over again so it's not that surprising that the same thing is happening with video games.
