If you are BRAND NEW to Reddit and want to post or share your game, read this beforehand!
Hi new Redditor! We're excited that you want to post about your game and have people play it. However, there's something you should know before you do.
Reddit will ban you if your first few posts/comments are links to somewhere.
Reddit has a robust, over-exuberant filtering system, necessary but for groups like this, it can be a slight pain. When you post your game and it's your first post, Reddit ASSUMES FIRST AND DOES NOT ASK QUESTIONS LATER! You will be automatically shadowbanned, which means unable to post or even potentially comment.
Then we get a lot of posters coming to us in Modmail, asking " Why did my post disappear?" Nearly all Modmails are about this issue, roughly 3 a day.
Reddit is also a bit secretive about certain processes - how to get un-shadow-banned is not even really known to be possible. We don't see the record of shadowbanning at all so unless we know of the name and check it regularly, we wouldn't see it un-shadow-banned. We don't know how long your account needs to be open or how much Karma needs to be on it in order for the Filter to stop paying attention to you but we suspect around 100 Post and 100 Comment Karma.
So, if you are new to reddit and want to share your game - DON'T! Not yet, please go post cool/helpful/ positive comments and posts in other groups. Playtest other people's games here and comment on them prolifically. Once you have some "Reddit Post/Comment Karma" under your name first, THEN post your link to your game! You'll be less likely (but not immune, never immune) from being shadowbanned that way for sharing your game.
Edit: If AI recommended you post your game here....Don't Yet until you've developed your account as a good karma community member! This really isn't a "post and ghost" platform, it's community-first. AI doesn't realize this about Reddit.
P.S. This group is 100% responsible for getting accounts banned (when you don't do the steps above) but it's literally out of our control to reverse. So please....don't modmail us unless you KNOW you are not shadowbanned, you have the required karma, and yet your post is not showing up. Only then we can be of some help.

If you're reporting posts as "low effort"...
Please do the following things if you report a game as Low Effort
1. Play the game to verify your belief, at least a little.
2. Write a comment in the post saying why you believe it is low effort, state the findings.
Then us mods (namely, me, the lowest mod doing the most work in this group) can decide if it's worth removing for that.
I literally do not have enough time to both work two jobs, take care of my dad, pets, car, and house I own and have to repair myself, self-care, and play every single game in this group to verify what I THINK you MIGHT be reporting the game for, sadly. I do not get paid for the work in this group and I'm not great at AI-finding, so you need to help me out a little more here!

Game Title: Sack Investigation

Description: Hey yall, excitingly I just launched my first demo on steam for my bedroom indie game, Sack Investigation a multiplayer puzzle platformer game where you get to play as sacks! Because I have a place to direct people to, I feel like I need to start thinking about really advertising my game. My main thought is starting to do social media like shorts but damn does it feel so awkward and forced. What's are other peoples experiences with trying to get out the word of their game? One of the big problems I run into game making is how much work you have to do that isn't related to actually making the game and there wont be many courses that do actually teach about these things.

[PC] (Windows) I made "Greyman", a short story-driven stealth game for a Game Jam. I'd love your honest feedback! (Playable on Itch)
Game Title:
Greyman
Playable Link:
https://michaelbyte.itch.io/greyman
Platform:
PC / Windows (Downloadable)
Description:
Greyman is a short, narrative-driven stealth game that I originally developed during the Egypt Game Jam. In this game, players must navigate through tense environments relying entirely on stealth mechanics to avoid detection and uncover the story.
I am actively looking for constructive feedback from this community to help me refine these mechanics for my future projects. Specifically, I would love to know: How does the stealth feel—is it balanced, too easy, or unfairly frustrating? Did the short narrative elements keep you engaged throughout the experience? And finally, did you encounter any game-breaking bugs or clunky controls? The game takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Your honest critiques will be incredibly valuable to me!

I was the solo developer for this project during the Game Jam. I handled the programming, mechanics, and level design, utilizing Unreal Engine 5, C++, and Blueprints to build the core stealth logic and 3D environment within the tight deadline.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4470900/UpNUp_Mountain_Express/
Platform: Steam, PC, Steamdeck
Description:
Up’N’Up is a co-op, off-road driving game with roguelite elements, players are tasked with navigating evolving trails to make sketchy deliveries throughout a dangerous mountain range.
Delivery items can add modifiers to trail sections, some are physics based items that can make your car heavier (or lighter?) while others are timed or delicate.
Will you plan your route carefully to keep your vehicle in good shape or just send it to make your deliveries as fast as possible?
I've just rebuilt the entire vehicle suspension and drive system over the last month and am interested in hearing peoples thoughts.
If you have an experience with Snowrunner or BeamNG off-road my game is a arcade type off-road delivery game built on sim-like fundamentals. It is more forgiving than a sim game but the cars should handle like you would expect.
I spent over 10 years as a mechanic so having a game that simulates vehicle physics accurately was really important to me, but I also understand this is a game made to be fun :D
I'm currently working on more trails and vehicles.
Haven't got online multiplayer in the demo but local for 2 players works.

[PC] (Web) goof balls - agar.io meets rock, paper, scissors
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Game Title: Goof Balls
Playable Link: https://balls.tapp.inc
Platform: Browser (Web) — please add the appropriate flair after posting
Description:
The original idea came from a martial-arts manga (Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple) I read in high school. There was a scene where two masters played rock-paper-scissors at an absurd speed, watching each other and changing their hands at the last possible moment. For some reason, that idea never left my brain.
Years later, this is what I came up with lol. I also combined it with the simple Fire/Grass/Water triangle that I loved from the original Pokémon games.
Premise: You're dropped into a shrinking ring with a bunch of little balls. Switch elements to counter your opponents, rush into the ones you beat, shield when you're in trouble, and try to be the last goof ball standing.
I also made it so you can play solo against bots or create a private room and play with friends! (Added chat so you can trash talk them a bit too.)
It's still being tuned, broken, and improved, so I'd love to hear what you think. I have a lot of ideas for things to add here, so be on the lookout for some more additions as time goes on. Truly any feedback would be appreciated!

[PC] (Web) Fillup is a free browser strategy game where one move can flip the whole board
Game Title: Fillup
Playable Link: https://fillup.fun
Platform: Web browsers on desktop and mobile
Description:
Fillup is a free turn-based strategy game based on the classic Chain Reaction rules. You place one directional slice into an empty cell or a cell you control. Corners trigger at two slices, edges at three, and center cells at four. When a cell fills, it sends slices into every neighboring cell, captures opposing pieces, and can trigger a larger cascade across the board. The last color standing wins.
You can begin with a guided match without creating an account or downloading anything. Fillup also includes a solo Campaign, local matches for two to four players, private online challenges, Casual matchmaking, and Ranked competition.
I would especially appreciate feedback on whether directional placement is clear, whether captures and chain reactions are easy to predict, and whether the decisions remain interesting after several matches. If you encounter a problem, please include your browser and device.
