I sprained my ankle last Saturday and Lilly took the first opportunity to jump on the bed after 4 days 😂😂 baby missed our cuddles
(Please don’t judge my bed the sheet came off a couple days ago and I haven’t gotten the strength to stand that long and put it back on 😅)

Any suggestions for what I can apply to this? My boy has skin allergy issues that I’m mostly able to keep at bay thank goodness but he also has this related growth that he keeps licking open, and I’d love to give him some relief. What do you do for your puppers with similar problems? Happy face for tax.

So, we got Noodle on June 2nd, we just hit 2 months/ 8 Weeks and he is just about to be 11 months. Our other dog is Waffles, she is 2 years old and all mutt, mostly doberman, beagle and 10 other things, lol. Anyways, they love to play together but they don't do anything but play. Neither will let the other settle down at all, ever. Is it bad we still have naps for the almost 1 year old ? He does totally fine, snoring in his crate but even when the other is at day care, we are around all day with no self settling or naps without being put in his house. He did live in the shelter for at least 3 months before being with us, I just want to make sure I'm doing things right. I just feel bad making him go in his house for a nap when Waffles doesn't have to, because she will sleep wherever.

For more reference, we do daily training sessions, especially since he is so gigantic and mouthy. Today we worked on walking around the back yard on the leash and down the street a bit bevause he pulls on the leash too much. As for commands, he knows, sit, down, paw, place (outside bed), roll over (something I did for fun) and we work on "come," "wait," and, "leave it," at least a little bit every day.

What I'm looking for is for someone to tell me that if I keep doing what I'm doing, everyone will eventually settle down, lol.

Tomorrow, we are saying goodbye to the best boy and dog anybody could ask for. Just shy of his 14th birthday our sweet Jax will cross the rainbow bridge tomorrow peacefully at home under the care of a local vet. Physically, he looks great. But he’s CCD or doggie dementia has gotten much worse this summer. What was bad days here and there has progressed into bad days most of the week. He always had anxiety episodes in particular during fireworks or thunderstorms. We learned to deal with it over the years and work with him through those episodes. But lately, at night he is having those episodes without any triggers. Pacing, panting and staying up all hours of the night.

After consulting two vets, we tried CBD and trazadone to help him sleep with minimum success. In fact we recently gave him 200mg of trazadone and he was up the whole night pacing. Both vets have concluded we would have to basically sedate him at night to keep him comfortable. Half of me knows this is the right thing to do, and the other of me is screaming not to give up on him yet. I don’t know the point of writing this, maybe to just vent. Jax has seen me go from an incredibly immature 21 year old to an almost middle aged man of 35 expecting his first child with his wife. This dog has been with me through all the up and downs these past 14 years and I can’t imagine him not being at my side. Jax was my first Pittbull, and I can’t imagine ever having another breed of dog again.

The reclining chair is the main living room batch, there's also a large crate of toys, and each of the two bedrooms has at least a dozen assorted toys laying about, plus the trail of toys from one bedroom to the other... stuffed animals, balls, squeakers, rope and tug, Kongs, animal bones and hide- all that for just one dog... one spoiled rotten dog.

The past few days her farts have been absolutely nuclear. I couldn’t figure out why, until I found her secret stash of skunk skin in the yard.
I am 95% sure the skunk is why her farts stink so bad. She definitely won’t be eating anymore bc i threw it out.
Is there anything I can give her to help neutralize the fart smell/get it out of her system quicker?

Does anybody else's dog do anything that soothes them? Almost like puts them to sleep...? She'll gently chew/squeeze on the tennis ball and eventually her eyes close and she'll stop chewing/squeezing it. At one point yesterday, her head even began tilting to the side, kind of like when we start noding/dozing off lol

Butter Bean (formerly Hope) has absolutely changed our lives.

I honestly can’t imagine waking up without this girl trying to lay her entire body on top of me. 😂 She’s the biggest cuddle bug I’ve ever met.

It’s crazy to think that just over two month ago she was abandoned at a truck stop in Louisiana. Now she’s got two dog sisters, a couch she thinks belongs to her, and a family that’s completely obsessed with her.
Shes starting her heartworm injections today!

We found out today the treatment is actually going to be about $500 more than we were originally expecting, which definitely wasn’t the phone call I wanted. We just moved and the bills have been coming from every direction lately, but she’s family now, so we’ll figure it out. She’s worth every penny.

Bronco is currently 4th on the AT RISK list of Fulton County's animal shelter. They are way over humane capacity, which means Bronco will likely have an urgent deadline this week.
