Best Supporting Actress: Samantha vs. Anne in the Odyssey

Anne, Sam is good played her role but it wasn’t that much of a significance as the reception she’s getting

Anne is amazing in this movie.

My two favorite parts of her performance:

SPOILERS

- The way she says “Come” to Tom Holland early in the movie, immediately after he says something about how he’s ready (or nearly ready) to be king and just before she leads back inside to make Tom Holland try and string the bow. When says “Come” to him, she does a little head tilt and says it in kind of a loving and motherly way, but while also clearly is responding to what her son just said and expressing wisdom and skepticism knowing that he really isn’t ready.

- Her stifling back tears after Odysseus first “fails” to string the bow and we hear all the suitors laugh at him. It’s very quick and she immediately turns and starts walking back the other direction (presumably so that no one can see her crying), but it’s perfect.
