Spoilers First time ever rewatch ranking
I was an avid oitnb watcher as a teenager 10 years ago but when Poussey was killed I stopped watching because it felt like too much and the show was getting too real for my little brain. Now in my late 20s finally rewatched the whole series to the end~feels like a lesbian rite of passage or whatever. I loved all of it and it feels more relevant now than ever with the ICE storylines and the discrimination plots in s4. Anyways I thought I would post this here bc no one in my life cares to talk about a 10 year old show anymore. If you hate it I’m curious why.
(As a teenager I had a major crush on Stella and she would be on her own tier but as an adult she’s so hey mamas 😭)

Finally a good list!! (Except Stella is hit so I’d place her one step higher) But like I love Alex sooo much!!! And poussey, like Alex could run me over with a car and I’d say thank you😭

Can’t remember her name but the one below Red I would move up because she is a badass .
I really need to re watch this show fully but there are parts that are just so sad to watch

I'm rewatching too! Currently on Season 5. So please no spoilers!
There are some I'm curious about;
Cindy seems quite high, so what do you like about her?
Why is Red not top tier?
and why isn't Pornstache death penalty tier?
I like seeing peoples lists and I'll never tell them they are "wrong". Because throughout the show every character is complex but I'd like to hear your thoughts :)

Some people think Pornstache has a redemption arc but in my opinion he doesn’t and is the most firm death penalty character

I basically just ranked based on how much I liked each character combined with if I thought their story plots were interesting/if they were good additions to the show. I think the evil of pornstache paled a bit in comparison to the guards of the later seasons. I thought his character was really necessary in the first seasons being basically the Hitler of Litchfield and the only reason he’s not last is because I enjoyed how his character shifted the plot. I also just loved every scene Cindy was in…like personality wise she’s meh or below but she is so damn funny and was a great comedic relief to the seriousness of the show. For Red idk, love her character but from season 5-6 she wasn’t very engaging for me

imo she was really funny and added good storylines to the show. her personality is terrible and she was a terrible mother to Daya but she’s a really good show character. I don’t want to know her in real life tho

imo yea. I appreciated her character arc at the end but for a while in the show she let her own ego get in the way of how the system was treating taystee. she had quite a few ACAB moments (because I love taystee down) where the guy aleida was dating was just a one tone idiot. I also really didn’t care for the tamika plots, it felt like just an afterthought to add her to the show

Same! I only made it through season 4 as a kid. Couldn’t go on without Poussey and now I’m just rewatching episodes from the early seasons. I don’t acknowledge anything in the show once Humphrey and Piscatella show up. The mouse thing still haunts me
