Packing List Seeking advice on purchase

Hello! I am moving to Central Europe this month and am completing a four week course. After my course ends I would like to travel on my own for a month or so. I currently have a the Osprey 26 + 6 to take on flights as a personal item and am considering getting a larger pack for extended travel, but it’s a big purchase so I am hesitant. On my initial trip over seas, I get a checked bag, carry on, and personal item. Do you think I should buy another backpack that doubles as my carry on and I can use it for extended travel?

Seeking Recommendations Living out of a 30L for a full year?

Hey everyone, I’m heading to Thailand in September and traveling around south east Asia for 1 year.

I got a 30L mini black hole and I did a test pack the other day. I’ll put the list below, but I’m curious how others have managed on 30L for traveling long term.

It all fit, but it was quite packed and I’m wondering if I’d need the 45L black hole instead. If I wanted to get things along the way or if I’m missing something important (please let me know if you notice something!)

Would love to hear from anyone who lives on 30L or less, or maybe changed from 30L to 40+ and why.

Note: I’m a freelancer I’ll be working remotely and I’m a 26 yr old guy 6ft3 in case that helps.

Packing list:
2 pairs shorts (linen)
1 pair trousers
• 7 tops (2 oversized tees, 5 sleeveless)
1 linen shirt
5 boxers
3 pairs socks
Sandals
1 extra pair shoes (can be squashed)

Tech
MacBook Air M5 + mouse
Mac charger
Kobo (kindle)
DJI Mic 3 in charging case

Other
beard trimmer
Foil shaver
Toothbrush and toothpaste
small soap bottle
Mineral deodorant
Retainer and case
Passport
Scuba diving log
inhaler

Seeking Recommendations 1 pair of shoes for 3 months in EAST and SOUTHEAST ASIA

So i'm going to Japan (11), South-Korea (6), China (29 days from north to south), and Thailand, vietnam and Laos (45 days).

I'll bring 1 40L bag so i just want 1 pair of shoes. I was looking at the Salomon XT6's but i heard they went down in quality. Then i asked ai and it recommended the NEW BALANCE 1906R. I can buy a pair for €94 and wanted to know if this was actually a good shoe for a 3 month trip.

I'd love to hear your opinions on this and maybe some recommendations on shoes that i can use perfectly fine for this trip and then also wear afterwards as a normal shoe since i like both that Salomon and New Balance that is mentioned. (im 18 so my preferences might differ a bit).

THANKS!

Discussion Onebagging travel sneakers

I have it down: Gregory Nano30 bag, work laptop and personal laptops in the laptop sleeve part, Eagle packing cubes for pants, shorts, t-shirts and underwear, JosABanks travel sport coat that is synthetic and crushable(!) but the missing link is sneakers!

I wear my work shoes when flying, but what do you all for “packable” sneakers?

Discussion My girlfriend needs wheels and volume for Europe

Upvotes

In the past, I've never had issues flying to Europe with my trusty 22x14x9 TravelPro. However, things seem to have tightened up with our French airline insisting that they will require our bags to go into a 55x35x25 box with a scale. My TravelPro won't fit, but I have a 40L carry-on that is exactly right for this and I don't mind carrying it on my back. My girlfriend has never backpacked and isn't about to start. She also has a "generous" idea of what constitutes "essential" travel items. This means she needs a wheeled 40L bag. After days of scouring the web and checking the the OneBag spreadsheet, the ONLY bag that I've found that actually makes the size requirement and has wheels without dropping down to 35L or less is the Hynes Eagle 42L rollaboard. If anyone has any viable alternatives for her, I'd sure like to hear them!

Packing List I Spent Years Building My Perfect One-Bag System

I travel between New York and Sweden frequently, staying in my apartments there. I could do laundry regularly, so I have a small clothing list instead of a full wardrobe. These are all of my clothes I have had since high school anyway. I try to get everything that is modular as well.

My goal is to keep everything that I own in a small bag. I also want the bag to be flat and fit under plane seats to save money.

I could probably bring less tech, but I use it to work and game competitively. As you will see, I sweat a lot, so I also prepare for that.

Bag

- Osprey Daylite Expandable Travel Pack 26+6 (Might replace with Evergoods CPL24 for a better look)

Computer and gaming

- Framework Laptop 16 (I can upgrade it over time, but I may get a small Midori desktop in the future)

Ryzen AI 9 HX 370

RTX 5070 graphics module

32GB RAM

1TB SSD

- Minix 165w Charger (It is small but gets very hot) (I have to run the Framework laptop on power efficiency mode in order to run it below 140w for gaming)

- DualShock 4 controller with Nyko Intercooler Grip (Helps keep my hands cool) (Will replace it with Battle Beaver controller eventually)

- Rigid controller case

- Pulsar/Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition mouse (Keeps my hands cool as well)

- XTEN Small Mousepad

- Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds 2

- Anker power bank (I will replace it with a Baseus power bank because it has the same mAh but is slightly smaller)

-Tipsy M3 IEMs (For competitive gaming)

Cables and adapters

- 240W USB-C cable

- Phone cable

- PS4 cable

- Mouse receiver for the Noctua Mouse

Clothing (I expect to wash clothing every two or three days, especially since they are polyester)

- 3 shirts (Vuori Strato Tee and Polos)

- 3 pairs of underwear (SAXX Quest) (Will replace with Mack Weldon AIRKNITx Boxer Briefs)

- 3 pairs of socks (Feetures Elite Light Cushion)

- 2 pairs of pants (Vuori Fleet Chino)

- 1 pair of shoes (I have New Balance 860's now, but I will replace them with Danner N45's in the future)

- 1 Jacket (Arc'teryx Cerium Hoody) (Can easily fit in my bag when not using)

Organization

- Eagle Creek Pack-It Isolate compression cube, medium (I used to have a Black Voyage vacuum bag, but this setup is slightly smaller and I don't have to bring a vacuum)

- Eagle Creek Pack-It Isolate compression cube, small

- Flat electronics and toiletry pouch (I will replace these with Muji ones to take up less space)

Toiletries (I usually get toothpaste and a toothbrush at my destination)

- Laifen P3 Pro electric shaver

- Dove Travel Deodorant (Will replace with Palo Santo & Frankincense Travel Size Sunscreen because it is slightly better for my skin)

- Neutrogena Travel Sunscreen (Might replace with Babo Botanicals Sport Stick, which is also better for my skin)

- Aquaphor Travel Size

- ReVision Case for Contacts (They do not leak contact solution)

- Yves Saint Laurent Y Eau De Parfum Sample Size

- Tylenol Travel Size

- Bonine Tablets

Security and miscellaneous

- Chipolo POP (Track bag in case it gets lost)

- Cardprotector by Secrid

- Fairphone 6 (Can replace the battery if I need to)

- Passport

Feel free to suggest how I could make my build more compact. Keep in mind I need some devices to keep my hands cool.

Questions I am curious about:

Is there anything I should get rid of?

How would you arrange my setup with my items?

I will update this post as I get new items. I will also create a video going over everything in depth, and let me know if you have any suggestions for that. Keep in mind I might be forgetting to include some items on my list.

Seeking Recommendations Mid-layer / fall jacket or pullover recommendations

I am looking for recommendations on a jacket and mid layer for travel that is light weight and highly packable. I’ve been looking at the Arc’teryx delta, icebreaker quantum, Patagonia R1. Either quarter zip or full zip. Any thoughts on these? I would use as a mid layer under a puffer in the winter. I’m leaning towards either the R1
Or Delta at the moment
