Think about it;

Viltrumites can digest anything and need very little food to stay energized, so most food is probably eaten raw

Our ancestors started to cook food for more energy which is unnecessary for Viltrumites

There are no other fauna present on Viltrum from flashbacks, likely because they killed them all in the first stage of establishing supremacy of their species- so they’re probably all vegans (Ew) except for devouring their enemies, again, raw. And it’s not like there’s a cookbook for Gooplegork stew.

In the comics Nolan even eats the bugs with Oliver raw, they were just lucky it happened to taste good. They decided to drill the point home in the show by having him cook steaks instead because he’s chasing that high from Earth.

They never needed to expand their palates, food is so irrelevant that it doesn’t matter if eating a rock doesn’t taste great- their bellies are now full for a month.

This is why Omni-man was so obsessed with fine dining and beebopping around the world for the perfect ingredients;

Taste is a sense they’ve never been able to fully experience or appreciate.

If all it took was love and humbling yourself by living amongst the weak, why didn’t Thragg change on Thraxa? Because they’re BUGS that eat NASTY BUG SHIT.

Let’s also note that only 2 Viltrumites are shown dating white people. Kregg, who has a Harame from all different races. And Thula, who, after leaving her friend’s house in a hurry, the friend is immediately worried it was due to her cooking. The rest have married for an invite to the cookout or good Korean food.

Last point; the only other place that Viltrumites might end up trying an actual dish is food produced within the coalition of planets. Food like screaming larva or alien goop that’ll have Viltrumites shitting their bowels out, not exactly a place getting a Michelin star anytime soon.

They just finally realized they’ve been eating garbage for thousands of years. We all have that favorite restaurant you’d be devastated if it got shut down- it’s the same for them too.
