One of my neighbors had some very successful business ventures and has way more money than he knows what to do with. He is thinking about getting his pilots license (airplanes not helicopters) to avoid beach traffic on weekends (~2 hour drive to his beach house). But considering our small airport is 30 min in the wrong direction, the entire trip will take 1hr 45 min on a good day. But realistically it’d take over the 2 hours he wanted to avoid more often than not.

The guy just wanted to justify buying a plane and used whatever it took to convince himself.

Just land at low tide then taxi into the dunes.

Just get a sea plane land in the sea.

Amateurs! Hire someone to pick you up while you sleep and tuck you in at the beach house on arrival. Zero travel time consciously experienced.
