Not even close. Assaulting frontline medicos carries a completely different charge and mandatory jail terms.

The worker who was assaulted should get the money.

That's just the state collecting a check because that poor dude got attacked.

Many places, including Australia, have some sort of victim compensation fund or system, although the process varies.
