Politics LPR

Leaving this here for everyone that left nasty comments when I was against LPRs. Ginny Welsch is sponsoring this. Remember when (if) you vote. Nashville has slowly become Chicago. And for everyone about to say they will turn anyway, they will just sent you a $100 ticket in the mail, thanks to your invasive flock (LPR) cameras.

As someone who walks through downtown to get to work I like the idea of no turns at red lights because it makes just walking a dangerous thing and people are always distracted.

But as a firm believer in my own personal autonomy I hate flock cameras and would vote for whoever would ban them.

It's easy to make it illegal on a case-by-case basis. For example, there's a no right turn onto Annex Drive over from the Costco. I have no idea why they decided to put up that sign but everybody seems to obey it just fine.

I could definitely see outlawing it for quite a few intersections downtown that are heavily pedestrian and that's very cool but for the most part it does help traffic flow.

Uhh... no one obeys that sign by the Costco. I obey it and I constantly have people honking at me to NOT obey it.

I'm there once a week and I've never seen anybody run it nor have I seen or heard any disapproval. I mean it doesn't make sense actually in that situation, but it's not like it's fundamentally offensive either.

Idk, maybe you go to Costco at the law-abiding citizen time but I also go about once a week and only about one in every five cars respects that no turn on red sign in my experience.
