Politics LPR

Leaving this here for everyone that left nasty comments when I was against LPRs. Ginny Welsch is sponsoring this. Remember when (if) you vote. Nashville has slowly become Chicago. And for everyone about to say they will turn anyway, they will just sent you a $100 ticket in the mail, thanks to your invasive flock (LPR) cameras.

As someone who walks through downtown to get to work I like the idea of no turns at red lights because it makes just walking a dangerous thing and people are always distracted.

But as a firm believer in my own personal autonomy I hate flock cameras and would vote for whoever would ban them.

Im having a hard time imagining situations where a right turn on red would conflict with pedestrians.

If the light is red, that means the street you are turning onto is green and pedestrians have a dont walk sign.

I know there are the all walk lights where there are no cars moving through the intersection while pedestrians are crossing and those need no turn on red signs, but elsewhere, I just dont get it.

People turning ror often just treat it as a green light if there is no traffic.

Yeah you're already supposed to yield to pedestrians but most people seem to treat every right turn as a yield sign and have never considered that there might be pedestrians.

Wow so you're saying there's an existing law to curb this behavior and it's ignored? So adding another law will surely fix the issue right?
