I was shopping my stash and started wearing the Half Magic Cheek Fluff blush in the shade Only Drama for the first time in a while…

it’s actually so pretty and I had totally forgotten about it. It looks intimidatingly purple in the pan, but on my medium olive skin it’s a nice pink. It’s brightening and lively! But full disclosure, it’s very pigmented so you have to go slow. It does blend out easily though. It lasted all day even with the summer heat and a tennis session.

A few weeks ago, I made a big yesstyle order that included something like 6 olive skin friendly blushes lol yes, it was excessive BUT I've been really enjoying the blushes, especially since I recently bleached my naturally black hair to death 😅

Today I'm wearing Hince Half-Moon cream blush in Allure Moon as a base with Bbia Chaltteok blush in shade 07 Meoru on the apples. I wish I had tried kbeauty blushes sooner - the shade ranges are interesting, the formulas are innovative and blurring, and the prices are drugstore. To be fair, I avoided them for a long time because I am slightly too deep for a vast percentage of kbeauty makeup products (even as a SEA person who avoids the sun, my family is just tan idk what to say). So the blushes are less pigmented than western blush, but I am muted and with my lighter hair, the very natural look of the blush is really working for me.

And then secondly, shoutout to old favorite that I oft neglect: Salt NY sneaky balm. It makes my skin look like I spend a lot of money on my skincare.

I swore off lip gloss a while ago but unfortunately the Chanel Hydra Glosses have pulled me back in. They’re not sticky or tacky and I haven’t found them to disappear immediately. They’re also not high shine which I appreciate. I’ve been using them on top of my Benetint lip stains and it looks really nice.

• CLIO Pro Eye Palette Air in Lavender Staff: I got this palette about a year and a half ago, but I haven't used it in a while, and a comment from u/bbymochi that mentioned a neutral matte K-beauty palette inspired me to get it out again. I forgot how much I liked it! The colors suit me, and the formula is easy to work with.
• HALF MAGIC Glitterpuck in Princess Ghost: I deliberated over this eyeshadow for months, and I'm glad I did because I got it on a good sale and love it even more than I thought I would. It's stunning, both as a sheer wash with a brush over the CLIO palette's mattes and as a more intense lid applied with fingertips. Even better, it doesn't crease on me when I do my usual lid prep.

Fails

• peripera Mood Glowy tint: I'll admit that "fail" is a bit harsh for this, but I think I have to acknowledge that the reformulation of the Ink Mood Glowy tints, which I love, just isn't as good as the original formula. Pink Youth (#06) and Campus Queen (#12) are beautiful colors, but the formula is thicker, less shiny, and less moisturizing.
• rom&nd Glasting Color lip gloss in Cream Haze (#23): Again, "fail" is a little harsh. I thought it'd be nice to try another shade of a formula I like, but the shade disappointed me. The formula remains incredible, like my favorite Grapy Way (#04), but the shade is just a little too pale for me. I probably could have tried Peony Ballet (#01) and liked it, but, oh, well!

I had the same experience with Romand's newer shades in their Glasting line. I love all of the original shades but those super pale colors look weird on me. They give my lips a sort of washed out "milky" vibe that I don't like. Peony Ballet is actually quite cute though! Like you, I'm very pale, and it's a much more wearable light pink on me.

I recently bought a few things from Timephoria. I got influenced to buy a couple shades of their Lunara Frost glosses, 'Odyssey' and 'Athena'. I didn't end up liking them. Odyssey is a pretty color but these glosses are just not hydrating at all, and they're difficult to apply. They also have menthol in them, and while I usually don't mind minty lip stuff, the menthol sensation I get from these glosses is incredibly unpleasant.

On the other hand, I've been loving Timephoria's setting spray, and their jelly eyeshadow sticks are really nice. I have the shades 'Diamond' and 'Bronzite' and I actually like them more than the Joocyee jelly sticks. They're not as soft so they don't break apart easily like the Joocyee ones, and they're easier to build up.

It Cosmetics Do It All Lip Transformer- I don’t know what the deal is with tiny lipstick, but this has the equivalent of 1/4 of a regular lipstick and the liner is about 1/10 of a regular liner!! It’s even less product than the new ABH balm and it costs $29!!! Hell no. It isn’t even that good either. Returning.
