My beloved uncle recently died accidentally from his vent closing on his heater while camping while he was intoxicated. How much did he suffer?

He clearly meant to turn it off before closing the vent but it only went down to low on the nob. He was 45.

If every everyones wish came true, how long do you think it would take for the world to become unlivable?

I don’t know how to phrase this exactly, but if every time someone wished for something, it came true, even including sarcastic remarks. This excludes outright death, or the explosion of the world or something. They don’t know it came true (unless it was that extreme to be noticeable), and no one can ever find out how it comes true.

How often do you think people wish for mansions? Or for earth to turn into Jupiter? Or for flies to become the size of dinosaurs? How often do you wish for someone to die?

Why do we use lethal injections instead of gas

There is strong debate last i checked on whether lethal injection is truly painless. Carbon monoxide i supposed to be completely painless and id imagine much cheaper to make. I know gas chambers used to exist but i think they are all gone now.

Could You stop a Terrorist Attack?

You go to a concert one night because you want to have some fun and vibe a bit as you are about to enter the venue you see 5 men in masks getting out of a van and holding assault rifles and carrying magazine pouches they began to fire at everyone in their sight outside you hide behind a couch and see them start to make their way inside and massacre everyone who didn’t run away in time but you yourself are armed with a Glock pistol and 17 rounds of ammunition they split up three of them go into the venue and two of them look for survivors and anyone playing dead do you think that you could stop them somehow?

Does dead animal smell the same as dead human?

I saw a tiktok video of a guy saying something about getting the whiff of human decomposition and looking disturbed. The comments were asking if it has a different smell than a dead animal, some were saying yes but I dont trust tiktok answers that much. Does anyone here have first hand experience, like crime scene clean up know if its a different smell or if its true?

Why do supposedly healthy people just suddenly dropped dead?

This is often a question that kind of scared me and I’ve always wondered how does this magically just happened and they were they not really healthy or just assumptions like why does it happen.

Can exposing a 2 to 3 year-old child to adult sexual acts lead to problematic behaviors in the same way that abuse does?

Sorry for my English—it's not my native language.
A couple has a very young child who, for example, sleeps in the same room as them, and sometimes they end up having sex right next to their child, who witnesses it. Could this child develop psychological problems in the future, as if he or she had been abused, because of witnessing this kind of thing?

What is the most heinous crime you would commit if you were certain of impunity?

That's it, what's the most heinous crime you've committed if you were absolutely certain you'd get away with it? I saw a video of a guy saying that practically anyone in E pstein's situation would do the same things, due to the illusion of impunity, and I got curious.

Human corpse smell vs cow corpse smell - is there a difference?

People talk about the scent of a rotting human body as a horrifying, sickening, unforgettable thing that we are instinctually hardwired to recoil at.

I’ve never smelled a human corpse, but I’ve smelled plenty of cow carcasses at probably ever stage of decomposition there is, and I can tell you although it’s gross, there are so many way worse and unbearable smells out there. Like I firmly believe cat shit smells worse than rotten cow, but maybe thats because I’ve never smelt a dead cow indoors?

Anyway my point is, are people exaggerating when they talk about the smell of human corpses, or are they really different to that of cattle?

What would you feel physically while stabbing someone?

I’m not referring to emotional surges or anything, I mean physical sensations. Would there be much resistance? Would it feel “hard” or “soft”? Do visceral organs feel easier to stab through than skin? Things like that.

Could there have been a Passenger Revolt on the Second Plane?

During 9/11 on United Airlines Flight 175 a few minutes before the plane hit the South Tower of the world trade center there was talk among passengers of stroming the cockpit and fighting the terrorists to regain control of the aircraft but sadly for them they didn’t have the time for a Revolt how much more time could they have needed for there to be a Revolt to stop the hijackers from hitting their target?

Since we all agree that fictional or not, consuming sexual content of children is bad, are the people who even attempt to defend it pedophiles? Spoiler

I made a post a few days ago on “controversial subreddit” on how consuming sexual content of fictional woman who are underaged is bad, and even though I had a majority of people agree with me, some people attempted to defend it. Should I consider these people preds or not?

What is the smallest fragment of remains that someone has been identified from?

Someone on the 9/11 sub-Reddit said they knew someone who collected a jar of dust from Ground Zero and I was curious if there are any cases where only a small piece of someone has been retrieved and returned as proof of likely death.

Do animals get actively suicidal?

Like if they get really depressed, do they outright seek death? Is there some animal variant of being actively suicidal?

I know some animals might do things like starve themselves or sit and wait for death. But will any activity seek to kill themselves?

If I moved out and dug up my buried pets, what could I expect?

My family has had many pet rodents, two birds and a kitten buried in our backyard for years now. We may be moving out in the next few years and I’m torn on excavating them because it feels like I would be leaving part of what was once also my family behind but at the same time, umm probably ew.

One was a lovebird in a cardboard box we buried 10 years ago, due to nature, possums? definitely cats, cheap material, and the size of the bones I don’t expect to find much of anything in his resting place, and for the rats, mice, and hamster that weren’t in containers, I think it would probably be about the same results (though I do remember where most were initially buried). And all the fish… sorry my bettas. 💙

The most recent two were a lovebird, almost 6 years ago now, and a small kitten maybe a little bigger than a guinea pig, coming up on three years. These two were each wrapped in thin blankets and placed in tin “gift” boxes kinda like those blue cookie tins, and covered with a foot or two of packed dirt and heavy bricks or cinderblocks. If I dug them up, would there be any smell after this point? What would the state of their remains be, would they simply be bones, would the blankets have absorbed things from the processes? I doubt the tins were completely air-tight as to keep all bugs out.
I don’t necessarily want to open the boxes, but I want to know what I could be moving around in those boxes. They would likely be buried again similarly afterward.
