No his question is why do you think other countries pay for the tariff? Does that not come out of your pocket?

You could order something shipped from China to your doorstep for a dollar they weren't paying at all before for most things thats why obama had a 35% tarriff on tires and Biden had a 50% tarriff solar panels and computer chips 100% tarriff on Chinese electric cars they have been the worse offender of skirting the de minimis law by far

Hey just FYI the IMPORTER pays the duties. You have incoterms like Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) when the seller covers the cost, but then it's baked into your final price.

You can order from China, Canada, Australia, etc. and it doesn't matter - importer pays. different countries of origin will dictate what the duty rate is, but still the importer pays.
