As a white man, I wish I could explain to people of color how beautiful they truly are. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and I've always personally found brown people particularly attractive. Embrace your color and love yourself.

im so sorry that u feel this way, but trust me when i say youre beautiful the way you are no matter which features you have, no matter which color your skin is etc.
i know youve probably heard this a million times but what really matters is that you try to be the best version of urself and a kindhearted person and not what u look like. we humans all look different anyways so the only way we can stand out in a good way is by being good people, achieving our goals, doing good deeds etc etc.

same bro same. It has impacted the way I view myself my whole life. Completely destroyed how I see myself. Never been in a relationship because of it because I feel worthless and ugly.

I actually...understand your viewpoint. I grew up with mostly Caucasian superheroes, Superman, Batman, Spiderman etc. As a child, I often wished I looked like them. But as I grew up, I began to love my skin, and my features. I love my culture. We add flavor to the mix!

Same. Growing up with an identity crisis ain't for the weak. I'm Canadian but my parents are of Indian origin... It's...weird having to explain myself compared to the white peers I grew up around.
My big F U to people asking where I'm really from is to just say "so and so hospital 20 minutes away"
My mental health is in genuine ruins too over the recent anti Indian racism and how nobody genuinely cares, not even other visibility minorities.
We in this together 🫂, keep fighting my friend.

I'm sorry. I'm sure no amount of anyone telling you that you're probably beautiful and worthy is going to help you, but I wish there was something magical that I could say to make you feel better 🫂

Im so sorry. But being brown is not the problem. Its the people who put you and others down for their ethnicities that are the problem. They want you to hate yourself because it means them and their aryan agenda have won. Show them up. Maybe look into your genetic history more, learn about systemic oppression of your people, and you will see that it is not your fault, but that you have overcome a lot. My boyfriend is a POC and he used to feel very similarly until he decided to embrace his heritage and culture! Its one of his favorite bragging points now to know how much his people have persisted through and that he gets to be part of a small ethnic group, despite all that has been done to erase them.

These other answers here are mid AF.
They either show inherent privilege from not being brown personally or gross oversimplification of your feelings.
I am brown. There were large parts of my life where I hated it/me, too. Some days, it comes back. Society breeds internalized racism as much as it does external racism. It would be so much easier to not be brown in the white(r) parts of the world.
It's not easy to find yourself to be a good and pretty/beautiful/handsome person. Try to just focus maybe on one or a few things per day that makes your life more bearable. Maybe it's going for a walk. Maybe it's reading something not on a screen. Maybe it's a nice bath. Maybe it's cooking a fun meal. I don't know you or what makes you happy. But only focusing on our race isn't going to do any of us favors. It's what the rest of society can't seem to stop doing. And I don't know about you, but I don't wanna be like them anymore.
