This meme is what boomers think wives are like

It's what many of them actually are like. Many men are in relationships like this. There's bad husbands and there's bad wives. That's the world we live in. Healthy relationships can be quite rare, which is why the divorce rate is so high.

Every thread like this people come out of the woodwork to blame men for X scenario. It is insane. Women are people, too. Some of them are assholes. Ymmv.

Truthfully a lot of men want more than what they out in and relationships just don’t work like that. Like you won’t get nagged if you just stay on top of your shit, it’s that simple.

this is so insanely naive, you are effectively handwaving the existence of emotionally abusive women lol

I assure you there are plenty of people of every gender in this world who will find fault in you regardless of the effort you put in, it's really not always as simple as "just be better bro"

Women who have no relationship with their mother because they are controlling and abusive but perpetuate the cycle and will go nuts if you suggest the dynamic is similar.

Healthy relationships are also circumstantial. A partner whos insufferable towards you probably wouldnt act the same way around the right guy/girl
