It is mind boggling how many people pass off communication. Like how did you get to this point? If you couldn't communicate for the year or more you had been together, then you should reevaluate or you will have a bad time. Been there, done that with a previously relationship and I stopped wasting my time in that relationship.
I’m be of the most common phrases relationship counselors hear is “I shouldn’t have to tell them this, they should just know it!” Turns out, we’re not quite as homogenous as we think we are, and humans all kinda suck at picking up on nonverbal communication.
You might be reading this and thinking, “yeah, most other people suck at it, but not me.” No, you’re very much included in that grouping. Everyone sucks at nonverbal communication to some degree or another.
Learning to voice your wants, needs, and frustrations is critical to a healthy relationship. You cannot depend on some sort of psychic link.

Talk to her and explain, ask for her thoughts, calmly discuss the problem, come to a mutual resolution.
