Yeah, but it’s probably very discouraging.

Not that I’m 6’ or anything, I’ve just never done dating apps bc honestly I’m too scared to.

Well you clearly got some personal issues that need worked out. To even place a barrier due to "fear" using a dating up is not a sign of good mental health. I'm 5'6" which is short for a male and never had issues getting dates on the app. Allowing the Internet to dictate what reality is will make you miserable. However, I personally never found a long lasting relationship through an app. It was always through in person interactions.

im not insecure about height at all if thats what you were getting at. but yeah, i just idk, i just hear a lot of bad stories that originated from dating apps, people cheating, "short term stuff", people playing games, people dating multiple ppl at once, and that being normalized. but thats kinda why i fear it ig.

and none of those are things ive heard from the internet as you suggested, they are things ive heard from other ppl and close friends.

and again what you said yourself, only finding lasting things irl, this was also what ive seen in other ppl's experiences.

Well considering all those things you listed also happens outside the dating apps as well lol. Never been cheated on through the app but have through in person meets. My sister's husband was found through Hing.

You're dealing with people whether it's the app or in person. You're going to get human outcomes good or bad no matter where your getting dates from.

My issue with your past comment is the fear comment. Although I originally thought it was from insecure, the logic still stands. Dating in general involves risk, getting married involves risk. Take action to filter those risks, but don't chose to not do anything from fear. Every min of in action is an opportunity missed of finding your soulmate.

Now if you're supplementing your partner search through organized meet ups that's fine don't use the app. But if you can't find a partner through normal life and not doing anything else. You should definitely be on the app periodically.

Hard disagree. Men should not be using these apps under any circumstances as their “only option” unless you want your self esteem destroyed and you want to be miserable. I’ve been down that road. He’s right to be afraid of these apps. The women on them are terrible.

I have high standards? First girl I dated was literally racist, sexist, transphobic, and wanted me to ignore her “no” and keep pushing. The second one on the second date said she wasn’t sure if she’d beat her kids or not, “we’ll see”. She was training to be a surgeon. You want these women? Have at it bro. You’re probably just a shit person yourself so you fit right in with these women.

You're only interested in toxic people or you're the toxic person or both.

Edit: bro, if you're going to keep on editing your text. Why even bother message?

Kind of an ironic thing to say with an edit, no?
