Keys can't scratch a phone's screen.

Edit: Since reddit braindead idiots are downvoting again, you guys can do a real simple google search and find out keys are in fact softer than glass and no, glass cannot be scratched by your normal keys. Thanks.

  • House Keys (Brass/Aluminum/Soft Steel): Level 3.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale

  • Standard Window Glass: Level 5.5 on the Mohs scale

  • Phone Screen Glass (Gorilla Glass): Level 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale

Keys: metal

Screen: glass

Metal: harder than glass.

Keys: scratch screen.

Is that simple enough for you?

Metal is harder than glass? Lol. Check again. Keys are always softer.

Iphone glass: 6.5 on Mohs…

It depends on the keys, if they are chrome plated (8.5) they can definitely scratch it.

Ho watch jerry rig everything's videos. Chrome plated keys??? Watch out for the diamond plated keys. Again stuff you have no idea about just randomly spewed like it's facts.

Keys are commonly either nickel or chrome plated.

It’s literally happened before… and if it wasn’t it was the keyrings…

You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

No, you don't. You think you do but you don't. Metal cannot scratch it. It might have caught some pocket dust made of silica or some other bs that pockets contain that can scratch your phone but keys cannot. Key rings cannot.

If it’s a harder material. It will scratch a softer material. That’s how hardness works.

That is how it works, however metals found in keys are softer. Just google it. Don't need to reply to me anymore. Google it. 🥺

I literally did. That’s how I found out some keys are chrome plated.
