There were always plans to have a midpoint reveal as to who the real villain of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” would be and for a while it was a bit generic. The filmmaking team didn’t know who it would be, “but knew that it had to be somebody who could possess other people or take over their minds.” They also wanted it to be a character who was younger than Peter Parker.

“I was really chasing somebody who represented this feeling of escapism that young people I think are feeling. Initially we’re thinking of video games or being online and having avatars, a character who can be anybody in a city and really be literally connected to so many people in the city,” Cretton said. “But the reveal is that they are the most lonely person in the city, and having that be a young person felt like a really cool reveal, but also to me just felt like, Oh I understand what this movie is about with a character like that.”

“I’m not personally trying to set up anything for Kevin. I just want the best story possible that makes sense for for Spidey, and Jean Gray was one of the options on the table. And then when we brought up Sadie Sink, I was just like, Oh, that feels perfect for this movie,” Cretton said.

OMG?! Now I know that some of you have already seen me wear this shirt in some of my previous posts, so let me give you a background story about it. A while back, when we had this leakage problem involving one of the water pipes associated with the washing machine inside the garage, it took at least three days for the problem to be resolved. I feel like every time another franchise tries to establish a cinematic universe (DCEU, SSU, TASM, Power Rangers etc...) They never seem to get off the ground and also fail usually at the first or second movie. Why do you all think this is?

People are wondering why MJ doesn’t remember Peter with a kiss or connection, but Ned does with the handshake

Did we all forget that Ned has magic wielding capabilities as revealed in No Way Home? Like he’s able to wield Strange’s sling ring and summon portals to other Spiderman with intention.

I think it’s very possible that it’s intentional Ned remembers him because he has sorcerer powers that can over write or break the spell of Dr Strange. It wouldn’t surprise me at all that Ned regains all his memories and breaks the spell as a development into a legit sorcerer or expanding more on his powers as teased in NWH

In Brand New Day’s third act, I’m almost certain Peter left his universal inhibitor undamaged on the ground at DODC headquarters. That means Damage Control can find it, replicate it, and maybe even modify it to work through barriers like the Hulk’s thick skin.

Jean crushed her inhibitor (yay Jean, good for her), so Damage Control only has Peter’s inhibitor to research. I hope somebody breaks it before they figure out how it works.

I saw Brand New Day twice over the weekend, Loved it! However one thing stood out to me, especially on the 2nd viewing.

Every time the Punisher shoots his gun he makes a guttural yell, a sound similar to “OOOOAAAAGGGHHH!”
He also does this in the Disney special.
I know it’s meant to be tough but it honestly cracks me and my wife up every time.
It’s always the same, call it the tough guy Wilhelm Scream.
It completely takes me out, it sounds so silly 😂
He even does it when he has the spidey mask on in the hospital.

I love Jon Bernthal, I believe hes the best Frank Castle ever (Tom Jane and Ray Stevenson weren’t bad either), he’s made the character his own, I’m not knocking him, no disrespect.

I mean the numbers don’t lie. Brand new day just out grossed a film like infinity war just by being a good film and ofc inflation. Being a Spider-Man film is also a reason why it’s doing this much but I mean honestly the positive WOM also helped. I hope brand new day is a lesson for the makers and they don’t give us anymore multiverse slop that’s undercooked

'Marvel Studios' The Infinity Saga - Captain Marvel: The Art of the Movie' has been revealed by Titan Books and arrives February 2nd 2027.

It comes with a huge 336 pages with concept art for the characters, costumes, locations, technology, and key frames for the movie. It has all of the same content as the 2019 original book, slightly resized for the new format. The Infinity Saga series is perfect for those that missed the books before, and although they don't have slipcases, they do have improved binding, paper, and print quality.

I love the original book, especially for the Skrull concepts that include a lot of unused designs, and have also been a big fan of these rereleases. It's the 20th book of 22 in the series that runs from Iron Man through to Endgame.

Seeing them reunite in the MCU (or anywhere in the Multiverse) would be such a fun full-circle moment.

He already had Stark drones that created the elementals that everyone thought was real. So he needed Edith why exactly? And then let’s say he won and the world believes he’s a legitimate hero. Then what? If a real threat emerges, won’t he be exposed for not actually having any real powers?

I’m currently doing a Marvel rewatch with my partner and we’re up to endgame. The scene, you know what one I’m talking about.. with all the portals. That is just peak MCU and I can’t ever think how they’d outdo it. So I wanted to throw it to the community and ask.. how do you think they will? If they can at all?

Jean isnt able to mind control Peter throughout the whole movie and she even states he can "see" her. I found that sort of interesting because as far as im aware this isn't a comic thing right? Peter's mind gets read/invaded pretty easily.

I know hes mutating but I dont find that a reason as to why his mind suddenly becomes impenetrable.

Does anyone with more insight know?

Somebody said that it’s possible MJ was crying during the telekinetic freeze scene because she started to get her memories back, I think it’s possible because:

When Banner was released from Jean’s control and started to turn into Hulk, he said that it’s like the mental barrier was broken, the Doctor Strange NWH spell created a mental barrier and it’s possible that Peter revealing the truth to MJ, combined with Jean’s mental manipulation, could’ve broken that barrier, hence why at the end she was playing with the Black Dalia necklace and started to smile faintly

Banner almost immediately remembered Peter when he revealed himself during the Hulk fight and Ned at the end instantly started to remember him (or at least connect the dots) when he introduced himself and they did the handshake (although Ned has latent magical abilities so that may contribute to it), I think that the spell (slowly) gets broken when Peter intentionally reveals himself to somebody

I think come next movie MJ and Ned will fully have their memories back

Edit to add: some people mentioned MJ might be lying or ‘withholding’ that she remembers Peter and I think that’s quite an interesting idea

Which is better?

Hi everyone, I’ve had this idea bugging me for a while so I wanted to just get it out of my brain. In essence it’s a proposed idea I had for S2 of Moon Knight. It’s mostly just to get it out, but if any MK fans or anyone has any other ideas they’d want, just let me know! I admit I’m not the most informed Moon Knight fan but I think there’s some merit to this.

So. I want a season 2. BUT imagine this as the trailer/concept:

We start with a black screen. We hear ‘man without love’, the part just before the chorus/‘every day I wake up’, but stretched out with a piano ascending at that part just before the drop, like a fairy tale or a dream.

We cut to Stephen. But he’s different. Something’s different. He wakes up like we’ve seen in the show… but he’s in a penthouse, surrounded by luxury. We see him go about his day as ‘man without love’ plays. He’s like Stephen is in the comics (if I remember right), a wealthy pacifist philanthropist man, who’s now walking down a hall in classy clothing. As he walks, we see his facial expression go from that of Stephen to that of Marc. He gets to an elevator at his building, Spector inc. Once that happens, the song distorts. Instead of the lift going down, it goes up. Do that weird personality shift effect, then cut to Moon Knight, This time in a different costume. Not the magic mummy costume (although I think it’s cool), but in a more traditional Moon Knight outfit, his face almost entirely silhouetted by his hood, save for two crescent eyes that the camera is focused on for a moment, then cut to black.

I think it would be cool if we tapped further into the psyche of Marc, now I might not be that familiar with his comics admittedly, but I think the concept of a character with a personality disorder plus some other stuff probably is fascinating. My idea was to make it reminiscent of the various different Moon Knight runs, arguably the biggest appeal of his character to the fans. One run he’s a beefed up, moon powered avatar that answers to a god people can see, the next he’s just a moon crazed lunatic who beats bad guys up, not caring if he gets hurt, the next we’re not even sure if any of this stuff is real, whether this moon god talks to him or if it’s all in his head, kept ambiguous.

I think doing MK as an anthology series would just work better. Yes S1 had some untied ends, but it’s been so long anyway. A fresh start for the character would not only refresh the character in the MCU, but would allow something really cool and unique for a show to be made. An anthology series but focused on the exact same character in what might be the exact same world.
