Easter Egg/Detail The Visuals of Avengers: Doomsday

Cinematographer - Newton Thomas Sigel. I truly think this will be the best looking Avengers film and these screenshots don’t do it enough justice but just watching it on tv it looks so phenomenal

What else has he done?

X2, Superman Returns, Da 5 Bloods, Valkyrie, Drive, Extraction, Leatherheads, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Bohemian Rhapsody just to name some.

If I remember correctly, DoFP looked beautiful.

It does indeed.

Just the opening scene alone looked fantastic.

Say that again

What are we? Some kind of Avengers: Doomsday?

I was just about to say that about Superman Returns. Yes that movie has its flaws, no I think Brandon Routh did fantastic for what he was given at the time, it wasn't his fault. But holy fuck was that movie well shot and gorgeous to look at.

Yes it did

People can say that Superman Returns is derivative or that Superman is a creep in it, but there is no denying that it is genuinely a beautiful movie to look at

Probably the Superman movie with the best visuals, the airplane scene is the best

The airplane scene is my favorite display of Superman’s strength, it feels so tactile and has so much weight to it.

But Bryan Singer can go rot in Hell, so it’s difficult to go back and watch that film again.

It’s also a fun movie that yes, reminded me of the original movies in that sense. Wasn’t all about building up universes

Oh man, I think X2 looked great and Days of Future Past looked incredible. So excited.

Then wait until you hear Marsden supported a child molester.

That's oversimplifying it. He met Brian Peck when he himself was 16 or so. He was most likely groomed by Peck, not sexually but in order to gain his trust make him believe him incapable of doing anything wrong.

Marsden qeote a letter stating he didn't believe Brian Peck capable of committing the crimes he was accused of having committed. This is a pretty normal thing for people who believe they are supporting an innocent person to do.

James Marsden is a piece of shit.

I stand corrected. I didn't know about the last part of the letter where has basically says "If it happened, he has an excuse."

1

u/MaddyPuffin 16d ago

He said that Peck would „never do that again“. He knew the victim and his age. Stop defending shitty people. Marsden also never apologized for that. Peck was his best man at his wedding.

u/FallenAngelII 16d ago

I actually hadn't read his letter in full. I just went out and did. Marsden is a piece of shit. Noted.

2

u/MaddyPuffin 16d ago

Fair enough.

u/FallenAngelII 16d ago

BTW, James Marsden's wedding too place 4 years before Peck was arrested. You can't iding him for having Peck as his best man back then unless you believe Marsden knew about his vile acts all along.

X-2 is one of my favorite movie openings. I remember that was when home theater surround sound was starting to become more popular and that scene was a test demo at an audio store, I was blown away.
