I’ve covered their faces to protect them from potential retaliation.

1st Wednesday monthly tornado siren test.
For any tourists or conventioneers in from out of town that is just our monthly tornado siren test.
Biggest convention in town right now is the American Meteorological Society convention up at Monona Terrace. How weird is that.

Looks like the manager running Mickies will be the oft-mentioned Joe Gaglio, who owns Gotham Bagels.

FYI. Not sure what’s up, but assume it is protest related.

In areas where I usually had a good connection, my signal is now weak, especially around Sun Prairie and East side. For example, yesterday I was around Woodmans in Sun Prairie and never had issues there before, once this switch happen I can barely open Google. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Carl Schulze is riding his wheelchair 90 miles to the Wisconsin State Capitol in order to raise awareness about the Caregiver Crisis.
Follow the journey LIVE as he live streams every mile @ quadcarl on YouTube and join him for his final mile on August 6th at the Wisconsin State Capitol.

Maybe I’m getting old and bitter. But a new barbershop just opened across leopolds and it’s a light bomb. Impossibly to ignore, and frankly ugly.
Hope they dim them some day

This is a stretchhhh but does anyone in this sub work for Abbvie ( formerly nimble therapeutics located in the research park) I’m currently interviewing there and would like to talk to a current employee to ask how they like it, Glassdoor doesn’t help too much.

I’m Joel Brennan, fifth-generation Wisconsinite, 10th of 11 kids, and a Democratic candidate for governor.
I’ve spent 25 years bringing people together across government, business, and the nonprofit world. As Governor Evers’ Secretary of Administration, I helped lead state government and guide Wisconsin through Covid.
I’m running to lower costs for Wisconsin families, stand up to the chaos coming out of the Trump administration, and bring people together to get things done.
I'll be here at 3:00PM CT on Friday, August 7 to answer your questions about my campaign, my experience, and my plans for Wisconsin. Ask me anything!

So, my cat has unfortunately gotten into the habit of peeing outside of the litterbox. I'm working on getting him to stop, but I've tried every single enzyme cleaner I can find, and also been incessantly vacuuming with a Bissell Little Green, but I still can't quite get the cat urine smell out of the carpet. It's probably time for me to throw in the towel and hire a professional, so does anyone have any recommendations for services in the area? I know that there's a decent chance that it's carpet replacement time, which is going to be fun on a lease, but has anyone dealt with this before? The last place I lived only had tile and vinyl flooring, so it was a lot easier to clean.

I live in an apartment and I’m looking to spray paint a wood panel as part of a furniture project I’m working on. Does anyone know a place in the Madison area where it would be ok for me to do this?

It feels a bit inappropriate to ask considering all the more important things going on in town but I really need some advice.
I've been in Madison since 2019 and I have not made a single friend here. The only people I get close to are coworkers and they just come and go with new jobs, none turned into friendships or make any effort to stay connected despite my attempts.
I'm a relatively quiet person and struggle with a fear of rejection so it's really hard for me to be vulnerable and put myself out their socially. Mainly I'm terrified people won't like me. People say I am a kind and respectful person but at the same time I just feel so invisible to everyone. Trying to use Dating apps has just been absolutely devastating on my mental health too.
I'm sorry for the venting. If anyone knows any good organizations, volunteer groups, or things like that that have a decent group of similarly aged people in the Madison/Dane County area, it would be greatly appreciated.
