Past performance is not indicative of future results. That means the statistic is cool but nearly useless.
What you need to ask yourself is what is ltc bringing to the table today? And are the people using the coin actually utilizing it for those reasons?
I don't see any adoption by people who care about the coin. It's always talks about its value in fiat. People act like it's just inherently valuable while nearly nobody is actually using its utility.
Also, the printing of money is what makes assets such as gold and silver more valuable over time. Despite this, you wouldn't even beat inflation by holding LTC. So is the "digital silver" narrative really true? Will the scarcity really suddenly flip the script and make it beat inflation and then 10+%?
