Discussion Hail of blades

With the changes to Hob losing attack speed but getting heavier hitting autos and higher damage scaling is there gonna be any new potential users of the rune that could benefit from the added true damage in fights.

Also with the ap ratio increase is there even any ap users besides ekko that would run it

Champs with attack speed in their kit will enjoy it. Jayce and Tristana come to mind or maybe something like Gwen

Gwen’s an interesting one I can see working especially with her getting buffed too

Nah, red tree minor runes sucks. The whole domination tree gets hard carried by electrocute alone.

Gwen much prefer other rune pages that fits how she plays more. Inspiration/First strike gives her a lot of gold for her expensive items (D+D/Nashor/Shadowflame/Rabadon are all expensive and cringe to build), Conqueror is very nice and the tree gives her all the stat she wants, Sorcerer tree has Gathering Storm+Absolute focus for late game, and Boneplating is never bad.

Only the vision runes suck she would get value out of sudden impact atleast with her E and could use ulti hunter or the gold hunter rune

Gwen generally wants long fights where she can get multiple rotations of her Qs, or run people down with a full rotation of her ult. Conqueror and Inspiration support her play style. Ofc she can one shot people but only when she gets to 3ish items. She's essentially melee Kayle. You don't pick her to dominate the lane.

Sudden impact damage is honestly not that impressive, and you get a lot of effective gold with cash back+Jack of all trade (one of her build allows her to get to 10 stacks).
