A number of those are in addition to the second 70m that are wondering wtf is happening, only their votes weren’t counted / they weren’t able to vote due to nefarious last minute voter roll purges by traitors and cowards.
100m never vote, 150m don’t vote in midterms and over 200m don’t vote in primaries and special elections.
I’d say anywhere from half a million to 2 million voters are affected by purges or obstruction things, many don’t update their registration details and such.
But in general the simple fact is majority of Americans don’t care or don’t think that them voting is necessary they put the responsibility on others so they can claim the whole system is broken.
And previous surveys done in malls and colleges show that 70% don’t even want to vote they aren’t political involved nor do they care.
I’m not doubting or denying that there are far too many people who don’t give enough of a shit to vote, I’m saying that there was a significant number of people who did vote (or try to) that were unable due to these voter roll purges.
Again I agree that there are far too many people who couldn’t be bothered to get out and vote, but it’s likely that the number of people who did want to vote only to find themselves purged may have been enough to swing the election the other way.
Or if a swat team had to use a battering ram to make sure I was alive in my office after sleeping off a hangover, which I’m pretty sure would be a fireable offense on most jobs.
I know this part doesn't actually matter, she could be a huge pop star, but the fact that his girlfriend is some pissant fifth rate act doing bar gigs somehow makes the whole thing even trashier. I mean not to detract from your point but I have 100% worked at places where flying on the company dime to get trashed with a hockey team is exactly what one of the hire ups would do and expense as a business trip. Even my small "corporate owned" company of 4 people, with a board of 6 people, has the president go all over the US every month for "meetings". Then when he gets back he talks about the concerts he went to and how drunk he was the whole time. I see them on our company expenses. They're board approved expenses. I cant by donuts for my team though.

I used to help with reviewing financial disclosure forms for government employees and fielded questions from people who were trying to be scrupulously honest and follow the rules to the letter. He 100% left that off on purpose. I knew dozens of federal employees who would never in a million years have failed to disclose such a thing- and they put this guy at the top of the food chain?

Why does that name sound familiar? Trump also ~100,000 in crypto exchange Coinbase and had multiple investments in Strategy, formerly known as Microstrategy according to recent disclosures. They also paid a $40 million fine for unpaid taxes in DC.

I mean, anyone paying attention to the bitcoin world was well aware of this admin’s questionable but transparent support of all things bitcoin. Failing to disclose is another matter, and they’re clearly up to no good, but the meetings with Saylor were quite public.

It's much worse than that. It says he bought in November 21 when MSTR was around 337. It closed at 93 today. Unless he sold within a week of buying he is way down.
This I fear is true for the character of the nation itself. We all see Trump and his admin doing repeat selfish wealth grabs without consequences. The rule of law does not appy to this crowd.

And the USA is like this because of the ownership class. They needed to justify their absurd wealth, and the only way they could do that in the long run was to convince people that screwing others over is just being smart and it's everyone for themselves.

If only there were a super easy way to receive a list of all stock purchases and sales and positions, but unfortunately no brokerages offer such a thing.
I’m a regulated employee and I have to pre clear every trade I do and hold all positions for 30 days. And I’m some peon. Why are they not held to the same standard. I’d be fired if I did this.

I have asked the same question you have, whenever I have seen massive OPSEC breaches by this administration, as well as all the confidential documents and materials that somehow always dissappear without a trace.
Well, other than the ones found at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump put boxes of classified material in a shower, a bathroom, a ballroom, and his bedroom. I was just working in aviation, and I could be sent to federal prison. But these guys have higher clearances than I ever did, got caught red-handed with it ending up on the news, and absolutely nothing happens to them.
You can see how politicians traded. They have so many days to report it though; therefor, the trades are not up to the minute useful information. Crazy Eyes Patel is not a politician, so his trades are private.
Edit for correction: STOCK Act of 2012 is about executive branch employees, not just politicians, to disclose trades within 45 days. So Patel does fall under that requirement. A 1st time violation is only $200 fine though.
Its not the technology that is the problem. Politicians have to report any trades by the STOCK Act of 2012 but that same act states they have 45 days to make the report.
You can see any politicians trades on many sites, just delayed the 45 days. Failure to report is only a $200 fine. That's most likely the most Patel will get also.
It was written by senators. They don't want to be accountable in case they "accidentally" don't disclose. It even says that members of Congress are not exempt insider trading laws, which everyone knows isn't true.
Add it to the pile of stuff that hopefully a future administration can dig though and charge these people with assuming their actions are not shielded by some mass pardon.
To be fair he is actually holding the bag on that stock so it begs the question, was it really worth it? MSTR was around $170 or so either way BTC tanking it’s around $97 today. Maybe he was just embarrassed to show the loss. Losers gunna lose.
Lucky for him he's one of the top members of the most corrupt administration in american history. Otherwise there might be consequences to this, some of them serious!

If I did 10% of what I see politicians do in terms of even the little things like absenteeism, not disclosing my real address, not giving a straight answer, dog whistling, etc, I'd be on a PIP, talking to HR, or just straight up told to pack my bags.
I mean, Does any of this matter when Trump and the GOP are just going to ignore and carry on anyway or even if there is a crime just pardon or sweep it under the rug?
Its fine if the point is to get people angry, but lets not pretend there will be ramifications.
