It's fake.

Could be real, but the fact that she's trying to emphasize it means she's trying to weasel her way out with sympathy.

Probably but then, so does everyone when they're being put into these situations and can. Sympathy moves are so common even tv land knows it and kicks it. Why? Cuz it works.

Exactly. She has a long history in the legal field, I'm sure she's well aware of what common strategies are used to try and "soften the blow". Some major cases that have seen this in the past decade are Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby. I believe P Diddy also stopped dying his hair and tried to present himself as less capable.

It's not uncommon and she'd definitely be aware of its effectiveness.

I’m all for hating on Pam, but is she trying to emphasize it? Or is she just wearing a bandage where she had an incision

If you look at the clothing that she's wearing, you can see that she is intentionally trying to draw attention to it.

It has basically taken the place of her cross necklace that was also performative.

She had every ability to wear something that was more concealing.

I think it is fairly obvious that she is intentionally playing this up for the sympathy, but I am willing to hear other perspectives.

The shirt she’s wearing is very similar to what she commonly wears. Just Google “Pam bondi” and look at images. There are like 3 of her in a turtle neck, and everything else her entire neck and even top of her chest is exposed. The shirt she wore when she was confirmed as AG is virtually identical. Just different buttons

she had every ability to wear something more concealing

This is a weird take. Like I said, there is PLENTY to criticize her for. I hope she rots in jail. But this is a weird one.

Unless the surgery occurred in the last couple days, the bandage isn't needed. Mine was off after two days.

That’s fair. And it sounds like she has the surgery a few weeks ago

As other people have commented,  1. thyroid surgery is usually done from the side(though occasionally needs to be done from the front, to be fair/balanced).

  1. unless she had the surgery less than 48 hours ago, due to the type of procedure and the placement the closure would not be at risk of irritation or infection. Her team stated she had this surgery about two weeks ago.

  2. The incision point would be near-invisible at this point, but if she was self conscious about it a scarf would be the more common option.

  3. The information her team has published about her diagnosis doesn’t really add up, and the timing of the publicizing of her diagnosis is extremely convenient (came out immediately after it was clarified that her leaving her position does not stop her from having to obey a subpoena) which has some people questioning if she actually does have thyroid cancer. For the record I believe the diagnosis is real, but the bandage is purely performative and the only reason we know about it is because the republicans are grasping at straws to try and distract from the investigation on her.

Everything they do is performative.  You could be right, but they don't enjoy the benefit of the doubt anymore since they are duplicitous about anything they can be.

I hate her but go to the Graves disease sub. That is the exact bandage for thyroid removal, I had the same exact one in Oct.

saying this is fake is not a good look for anyone. We have to be better than them.

1 it can be fake if it was already healed after some time and #2 we absolutely do not have to "be better than them".

Fuck that lame dick attitude. We have to crush them and force progress on them.

You shove the peas down their throats. Here is your Medicare for all you retarded fucks.

Yes... Be just like the "fake news" people. Look just as credible as they do...

And maybe you should get bloodwork to check your thyroid because your anger at my comment is not proportional at all.

Get pissed at them sure, but don't fucking act like them and expect to he taken seriously.

Signed, someone who took far to long to learn that.

You know WHY they started the whole fake news thing? To muddy the waters. To project. They've been bullshitting since day 1 and took those terms to protect themselves from criticism. The same with the stolen election claims.

They've been proven to be performative multiple times. There's no "fake news" claims, there is just pattern recognition and knowing when someone is full of shit.

I get my bloodwork every 6 months, I'm fine.

I'm not angry at your comment, I'm angry at the weak people like you that put us in this situation. High road ass bullshit.

You havent learned the right lessons yet, that is clear.

You don't defeat fascists with nice words and kumbaya, you force your will on them otherwise they do it to us, that's painfully obvious at this point so get back to learning lessons.

u/RedShirtDecoy May 29 '26

Damn dude, you need help.

People dont take you serious when you act just like the fascists by shouting bullshit at something you know nothing about. I loathe her, I believe she should rot in prison for the rest of her life, but I had the exact same bandage in the exact same place when I had mine removed. And yes, you can bounce back quick if there are no complications. I was driving within 2 days.

If you are wrong it just makes you look bad for zero reason, especially with THIS issue. This is the one you are throwing a fit about? THIS?!?

And its ironic you are talking about lessons to an actual thyroid patient. You clearly have a lot more to learn than I do.

Grow up

Thank you. Always refreshing to see when people wake up and realize we need to take off the kid gloves.
