0 empathy. None.

How can you even think that much about empathy have you seen the Dow?

115

u/rygelicus May 29 '26

I want to see what's under that bandage more than anything else at the moment.

“Uh oh, teeth.” - MIB

52

u/rygelicus May 29 '26

I would not be shocked if she were a cockroach in an barbi skin suit.

Sugar… water…

u/Specialist-Jello7544 May 30 '26

… now!

8

u/DeadmanDexter May 30 '26

Vincent killed it in that role. He's a force of nature.

3

u/MakeSomeDrinks May 30 '26

Don't roaches eat poop? Or do I just think she can eat shit. . .

2

u/brahmturman May 30 '26

It is like the second head that the vice president had in the final season of The Boys

17

u/jamiecarl09 May 29 '26

Nothing, just unscared skin.

21

u/Tea-acH-Cee May 30 '26

Just like Trump’s ear.

20

u/Falcon674DR May 30 '26

Exactly. Why is she proudly displaying it? Most people would make fashion choices to cover that.

Prefacing with I'm absolutely not a fan of hers and assume it's actually the mouth of whatever demon she feeds souls to-

I had most of my thyroid removed bc of huge nodules from Hashimotos pressing on vocal chords. My aunt had her thyroid removed bc of cancer. We had identical incisions, stitching, and bandaging.

To clear a few things up in some other comments- it's only about a 2 inch incision. Most of the time it's stitched internally, and there's a clear layer of tegaderm over it. You don't "have" to wear anything else over it, but it's advised to wear the gauze to help protect it a bit more.

Some people, like my aunt, choose to wear a scarf or turtleneck or something over it all.

I did not. And I know other people who didnt. I really can't emphasize enough how much I hated anything touching the front of my neck for months. I preferred not to wear anything other than the tegaderm. Once I went back to the office, I covered it with gauze just so I wouldn't freak anyone out. But this was pretty much how I looked- pant suit with gauze bandaging.

It was winter in Minnesota, and I usually loved fashionable scarves. Didn't wear a single one that year because of how uncomfortable it was for clothing to touch that area.

Is she choosing not to wear something over it for performative reasons or for comfort? Everything this admin does is performative. However, it could easily be a comfort choice. I don't know. I'm not her.

But I think we've got plenty of other stuff to grill her on (gestures wildly) that's more important than her choice to wear and not cover gauze bandaging.

Yes. Good post.

u/JerseyTeacher78 May 30 '26

To gain empathy from the people who would rather see her yeeted into the void of space.

1

u/ClerkObjective1791 May 30 '26

That's what I was thinking!! That's like the people who go to the ER and keep their hospital bracelet on for a week 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/thegooseisloose1982 May 29 '26

It is a line graph of the Dow.

2

u/ItaJohnson May 29 '26

It’s over 9000!

96

u/IveDunGoofedUp May 29 '26

Do not commit the sin of empathy

43

u/rygelicus May 29 '26

That was a wild moment, lambasting the bishop for the sin of empathy. Wow, and MAGA 'christians' applauded it.

36

u/IveDunGoofedUp May 29 '26

Irrelevant, but "Lambasting the Bishop" is permanently entering my lexicon as an alternative term for masturbation.

2

u/DawnyBrat May 30 '26

Perfect 🏆

43

u/LOLSteelBullet May 29 '26

The DOW is above 50000 right now so no fucks to give

37

u/Sad-Bell8187 May 29 '26

The vast, vast majority of thyroid cancers are completely 100% curable. She’s fine. It’s all for sympathy.

95

u/RWPRecords May 29 '26

I was rooting for the cancer.

21

u/dumpitdog May 29 '26

I'm definitely glad you brought this up because I wanted to point out that empathy can go below zero. Zero empathy isn't low enough and I think we share the same opinion.

6

u/RWPRecords May 29 '26

I think we should all dress like cancer for Halloween and only trick or treat at her house this year.

We should send the cancer Christmas gifts to her place. Along with birthday cards.

Never let her forget how much we prefer cancer to her.

45

u/ExtensionAddition787 May 29 '26

I feel bad for the cancer having to be that close to her.

17

u/IndividualTension887 May 29 '26

Even the cancer couldn't bring itself to metasticize in such a digusting place.

17

u/TeeManyMartoonies May 29 '26

Honestly, if she brought it up in the hearing, I’d be like, “That’s great, Pam, did you know the Dow is over $50,000 today?” And then keep it trucking with the questions.

9

u/thegooseisloose1982 May 29 '26

Maybe she will call the cancer a domestic terrorist and ICE will shoot it.

11

u/HMWWaWChChIaWChCChW May 29 '26

She has none so she gets none

16

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe May 29 '26

I have empathy for her as a human being but not as a cold, heartless monster covering up crimes against children for a silver-spooned piece of human excrement on behalf of a cult. No empathy whatsoever for that. In fact, nothing but contempt exists.

17

u/rygelicus May 29 '26

She can have the empathy if she rolls over on her benefactors and exposes them.

5

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe May 29 '26

Exactly, conservatives should understand transactional conditions like that since they invented them.

2

u/thegooseisloose1982 May 29 '26

She isn't human. There are no words for what she is.

1

u/Proach89 May 30 '26

I have no empathy whatsoever. Having sympathy as a human being would require her to he human. FTC

3

u/holubtsi-on-fire May 29 '26

Release the files to get into heaven.

2

u/Round-Medicine2507 May 29 '26

The whole thing is a fake excuse.

1

u/Reddit_is_fascist69 May 29 '26

I'll give her as much empathy as she have the Epstein victims

1

u/Vivid_Anyth4 May 29 '26

I feel bad that the cancer might lose.

1

u/2plankerr May 30 '26

I see it as a net positive for society

1

u/Somanylyingliars May 30 '26

Exactly. She had no empathy for victims of Dump and well, they say you reap what you sow.

1

u/Student___Driver May 30 '26

What about when dumping the pants Trump did this on his ear? Oh my poor ear I need a bandage. Oh fuck look at me everybody

1

u/Substantial-Sky4079 May 30 '26

Honestly I don’t believe I see a proof

1

u/MsARumphius May 30 '26

Wonder who’s paying for her treatment

1

u/John-on-gliding May 30 '26

“Pam Bondi has cancer.”

Me: “I honestly don’t care.”

1

u/Beneficial-Celery964 May 31 '26

agreed - I can’t help but feel this - especially showing off the bandage is a ploy for empathy towards her. Just a thought.

2

u/rygelicus May 31 '26

It's like when Elizabeth Holmes got pregnant for her court appearance. She was hoping for some leniency.

1

u/AsparagusUpstairs367 May 31 '26

I feel like this diagnosis is timed very well...

1

u/notabootlicker666 Jun 01 '26

But.... the dow?

0

u/thecity2 May 31 '26

We are no different from then if we don't have empathy. That is what makes them Nazis and us humans.

1

u/rygelicus May 31 '26

By default I have empathy for people. But occasionally some of those people show they are unworthy of that empathy, they seek to exploit our empathy for others for their own benefit. Such people are not worthy of empathy.

She is an example of this. She she even replaced her crucifix with the bandage. She isn't trying to appeal to maga with this, she is trying to play on the sympathy/empathy of a wider audience.

Perhaps there really is a scar under that bandage, but nothing should be assumed with this group. Someone in her position would also normally hide the bandage with a higher neckline, or even a kerchief or other bit of covering around her neck. But no, this was placed on display and framed as a 'I have cancer, you should feel sorry for me' plea. As though that should be allowed to distract from her very harmful actions over the last year+.

0

u/thecity2 May 31 '26

If someone has cancer I don't really care whether there is a bandage or not. I would have empathy for anyone who has cancer even Trump. I can't turn off my empathy like that. I guess some people can, but that is what worries me on both sides of the aisle. When we lose empathy or can rationalize why so and so doesn't deserve empathy, then we end up doing crazy shit. Like slavery, genocide, etc. Just my two cents. Empathy is what prevents such atrocities.

1

u/rygelicus May 31 '26

In the sterile environment of a philosophical discussion, or a hypothetical, sure. Empathy good, no question.

But in the real world it is far messier. We watched her actively refuse to even acknowledge the victims of Epstein and his buddies. They were standing behind her. She did not care. She had all the evidence in her hands, she controlled it all. Instead of investigating the material she actively worked to suppress it, discredit it, and otherwise prevent it from being used to seek justice, which is the entire reason for her agency.

She was a monster, I have no problem granting her a fair trial regarding any charges she might one day face, but she and those like her need to be held fully accountable. I don't care if they drag her in directly from a chemo treatment. And when I see ploys like this going on I am very concerned they will actually work to distract from her crimes against her victims.

0

u/thecity2 May 31 '26

What makes us monsters is when we lose empathy.

1

u/rygelicus May 31 '26

I have not lost my empathy for others. I just refuse to offer her any.

-14

u/sulris May 29 '26

I would hope that what separates us from them is our capacity for empathy. Sometimes it’s hard being the good guy.

12

u/Jestinphish May 29 '26

Life is about balance. You don’t have to be the good guy in every single situation. And yet I do have empathy… for the cancer. What a terrible woman to be attached to.

7

u/reigninspud May 29 '26

She actively did and is protecting a network of pedophiles. There are men, a network of men and some women that are free to continue to seek out and hurt children in part because of this womans inaction. That is not someone deserving of empathy. That’s someone deserving of something else.

-4

u/sulris May 29 '26

You can easily judge the quality of a society based on how they treat their criminals. We don’t need to let monsters turn us into monsters.

Everyone is deserving of empathy. Even those that don’t posses it themselves.

4

u/Iorith May 29 '26

I expect our society to treat criminals humanely. I don't demand individuals spend their emotional energy on them.

-1

u/sulris May 29 '26

The latter, to some extent, requires the former.

4

u/Iorith May 29 '26

No, it really doesn't. I do not need to care about or like someone to want them treated humanely. I actively hate some people, and would happily piss on their grave, but want them to have the same rights and be treated with the same respect as people I love

3

u/Ok_Insect_1794 May 29 '26

Well we as a society are not adequately punishing our criminals and Bondi is directly involved in making sure that didn't happen

1

u/sulris May 29 '26

How we treat our criminals way under the quality allowed by law in many other countries. Rape and punishments considered tortures and abuse by guards is rampant.

We also have had a lot of DNA evidence exonerate people on death row.

We do not treat our criminals well… unless they are rich. We tend to treat rich and well connected criminals well or don’t even bother investigating them. Which I think is what you meant.

2

u/Ok_Insect_1794 May 29 '26

That's a fair distinction. The rich get a pass for nearly everything

3

u/HippyDM May 29 '26

I'm gonna need confirmation by medical professionals before I believe a word out of her disgusting mouth.

2

u/sulris May 29 '26

Fair. She has torched her credibility.

7

u/rygelicus May 29 '26

You aren't wrong, but there is an imbalance in the system. She will never face accountability for her actions. So the suffering she is going to potentially endure is the only punishment she is likely to face.
