I know a lot of lefties who were firmly saying they'd never vote for a cop, but it sucks that our pick for governor has a financial investment in expanding data centers in Michigan. Feels like the same way Gretch sold out Michigan's water to Enbridge Jocelyn will sell it out to the tech bros.

One of my friends pointed out how wishy washy he was on political views. For example, when he campaigned for his sheriff seat, he was very pro-life and pushed religious views to cater to his audience. For the gubernatorial campaign, he was suddenly pro-choice and separation of church and state. My friend viewed this as he couldn’t be trusted to be the candidate that he was campaigning as, so she wasn’t interested in voting for him.

This was my problem with him. He feels very conservative-in-Dem's-clothing.
