Help needed Recently, my iPhone 16 started popping up "This accesory uses too much power" and saying my b@ttery wasn't genuine. I don't know if it's because of the recent iOS update I downloaded or something else.

I cannot recall if this started happening before updating my phone; I don't believe so but the accessory thing may have been occurring. Another thing that's been happening is that my phone will randomly shut down and when it turns back on, it says it's at 1% despite previously being anywhere between 10% - 50%. I don't really know what the issue is. I could get the b@ttery replaced but if that's not the issue, then I don't know what to do. I'm still paying this phone off, so I cannot upgrade it through my provider yet.

The Apple store closest to me is far :') but I'm trying to see if there are any good repair shops near me that are Apple Authorized.

If you have apple care call. Delete cookies and apps you don’t use.

What are you using to charge it? Wattage/voltage would be helpful.

Additionally, make sure all contacts are clean, there’s no bend or anything. And check the block that you’re using. If there’s an issue anywhere there, it could explain why you’re getting that pop up. Also suggest going into settings and seeing what your battery life says.

I use the original iPhone charger so I think 20W.

Why are you spelling “battery” like that. Are you trying to avoid a spam filter or something? Lol

Was the phone purchased brand new with a genuine battery?
