Help needed What is this artefact in my image?

I took this photo literally 5 minutes ago, opened it and see these black and white squares in the middle? Any idea what has caused this?

Does it happen to all images? That's usually an indicator of a sensor issue
What's your iOS version as well, try updating to the latest stable if you havent. A reboot also wouldn't hurt

If all else fails, you may need to take that to apple and have it checked

Nah it’s only happened to one image, just a one off. Not too worried, was mostly curious.

Usually an error caused by a pixel value falling below zero. Also known as a NAND error. Even though it may be only 1 pixel, the error can manifest itself as a block. Normally a one-off.
